Could you briefly introduce yourself (age, location…) and tell us since when you are active in the Q1 community?

Hi :)
Im Peter Raymond Bisseker, Im 39 years old and live in high Wycombe (28 miles west of London). I suffer from the mental illness schizophrenia and have dsylexia or how ever the hell you spell it. I started playing quakeworld in 1998 and havent had any time away from quakeworld really,

I started playing quake when the first demos came out, and was hooked :D

How did you get involved in the community?

I started mapping in 1997 using the editor quark, then in 1998 my cousin steven bisseker (nih) bought worldcraft 1.3 but he soon gave up trying to use it, then he gave the cd to me, and I've been using it ever since, tho with the 1.6a patch, I wasnt on very good medication for my schizophrenia for a few years, so I was pumping out the maps very fast, Im more known for my deathmatch maps then singleplayer I think, the singleplayer maps I did make, steve used to release them on to quake sites for me

What Q1 contributions are you best-known for? Which of your works is your personal favorite?

I honestly havent a clue what map im best known for,I have two favorites, fatal error and strong hold , but I get errors when I've tried to play strong hold :( and it wont load

What was your initial motivation to work for Quake?

I think the word (WORK) is abit to strong, I really love and enjoy my self when I map, and when I had jobs in the past, I didnt love and enjoy them :( My motivation to map, is cause I love quake and I like art, I like creating things, I've had a lot of feedback from ppl saying that my maps have been textured really well, I look at texturing a map like painting a picture, and I put alot of time and effort into it

Do you have a website/links where we could check out your stuff?

Cant remember the url, if ppl wanna see my old quake site, just google peter bisseker tiddles (http://www.geocities.com/peterbisseker/)

What are your best memories about this community?

The buffy :D aka buffyissodamnedhorny… unsung qw hero :D So many players really

Are you regularly playing Quake? Are you trying out mods, maps and engines?

For the last nearly 2 months I've played abit of ffa once, this is the longest I've been not playing quake in 12 years, its all buffy's fault :0 Hes been partying for 2 months, and its also call of duty 4's fault :D Man that game is good,

Have there been other games you have been playing a lot?

Yeh cod4 and racing sims, car and bike games, but I've been into racing sims as long as I've played quake

How would you describe the Q1 community right now? Is there any contribution that really impressed you in the last couple of years?

Well, only truely dedicated to all things quake ppl are still around, I think the quake scene is still strong, and new ppl are starting to play it, I cant see it dieing out,

How do you picture the future of the community? Do you (objectively) think that people will still be modding/mapping for it in, say, 10 years from now?

If quakeworld was gonna die, I think it would of already, 12 years down the road, yeah sure it'll still be played in another 10 years, you cant beat the game play, its to addictive, and I'll still map for years to come, its only been in the last 2 or 3 years that Im getting better at it imo

Your #1 secret special ingredient to a good map (imagine a newbie asking for your advice)?

Hhmmmm, this is a hard question :0 Dunno really, I havent made alot of singleplayer maps really, compared to the amount of deathmatch maps I've made, I try and make my maps to look like quake porn I should make more singleplayer maps really

What is the question you would have like to be asked (but weren't), how would you have answered it and how pissed are you for me not thinking about it?

I would like to of been asked about my other interests…. I attempt to produce drum and bass and I have dnb on you tube, my username is fatmanxx69 :D If you like dnb/jungle, maybe head on over to you tube ;)
