Screenshots from a Singleplayer-focused selection of Quake Engines to accompany the Quake Engine Comparison. The versions are the same as in said linked article.
Please be aware that I used JPEG compression on the images to reduce filesizes. JPEG always leads to washed out colors and ugly artifacts. If you want to check if some ugliness is the fault of the compression try replacing the .jpg with .png in the filepath (except for Qrack (only JPEG screenshots worked at the time of writing)).
Setup: I added some trigger_command (thanks to Quoth) triggers to e1m3 which made the engine take screenshots ("message" "screenshot\n"). Then I simply started the game and let demo1.dem run. Naturally the timings when the shots were taken were not accurate, thus the screenshots are all a tiny bit different. The grenade model is from Quoth! All other differences are engine/package-dependant.
