Beautiful explanation. That's how us noobs learn stuff!
Thanks.

And you won't be a noob anymore after some weeks...

But I'm serious. For me a noob is some guy that takes tooooo long to learn something, let other guys to get mad because he don't stop asking the same thing, that's not your case. Instead of a noob, you could be a "new coder", or something like...

But anyways, we use noob just for kidding. So noob and new coder doesn't make difference.

I've started coding Quake two years ago, I've known that the QuakeC source code exists, and then I've started tweaking the codes that I didn't understand in the epoca, compiling, getting errors, testing, and seeing the result.

The very very first thing I made is make the Shotgun fire rockets, then I've changed the reload times, damages, and so on.

The coolest thing I've made was a Plasma Bomb Launcher.
If you've played half-life 2 you know what weapon is, because it was based on this weapon.

The weapon shoots ricocheting orbs that does a big explosion after a random amount of seconds, and the orb explodes if it hits a player or monster, too bad that I lost the sounds, and I think that I've erased the code from my old weapons.qc, because I was bored with that weapon in the epoca. Crying or Very sad

But, remaking the weapon is not hard, just the sounds that isn't here anymore. Sad

Now I've made my own bots, and they act pretty well in combat! Smile

EDIT: I'll assume my age. I'm only 15, I think no one will believe on that. LaughingLaughing

What is this 'epoca' and what false gods does it worship?

'Epoch' is an english word though it usually refers to a very large amount of time, like an 'era' or 'period' or 'age'...

I did try to look up 'epoca' on Babelfish (assuming it's portuguese) but it didn't know the word...

So anyway, your 'in the epoca' would be properly said as 'at the time'.

Yep.
Época has an accent, that's why it didn't translate...
