That's just only your opinion, I rarely have ever pimped gargs around inside3d. Given the unneccessary whining from this thread, i've took it upon myself to resign from the Quake community, because i'm just gonna be fed this same shit everytime I show something around here, (mod or not) it's really discouraging of quake modding you know. I never seem to squeeze anything good and constructive out of anyone's minds here, nor has anyone been interested in the other projects i've worked on (Stalker, Quake model depository) so it's pretty pointless to stay, and that was the last sraw. You must be very proud of yourselves.

Bye, and have a nice day.

You really shouldn't take all this so seriously/personally. Much of the time people aren't serious, and if they are, just ignore them. Nothing to quit modding over Rolling Eyes

Ok I guess this is probably my fault so I'm gonna apologise. If I had any idea what I was kicking off I would never have made the joke in the first place. That said, I was just joking. I personally enjoy seeing Cheap's creations, and I also agree that he has put a lot into the community over the years. I was just making a silly joke about his (self confessed) love of gargoyles. I never meant any offense.

I think the Quake Model Depository is good and useful and I don't know why people don't use the Quake Wiki for posting models. I would like that.

Guess what? CheapAlert specifically stated he left because of whining; which you did the most of. The only thing I said was that I'm sure me and others stopped caring about gargoyles in general, but I only said that because I simply thought it was a picture of a gargoyle - not a Quake mod which I also easily admitted my mistake.

If you're gonna single me out, atleast do a good job.

I added Quake Model Depository to QuakeTerminus's main links a while back. Stalker I kinda missed somehow.

Anyway, if ya wanna quit the Quake scene do it, but for the right reasons (bored etc...) not because of some comments. Everybody gets the odd sarcastic comment now and again... I know I do. You should hear the shit you get on Func_Msgboard when somebody produces a map that is not up to "their" standard - holy shit lol! Wink

Ahhhh... So what you're saying is that this is all my fault simply because I got tired of seeing all the crap being sent cheapy's way and decided to stick up for him? How about a little blast from the past?

RenegadeC wrote:

That won't happen, regardless.. I'm sure none of us care about gargoyles and the 150th model he's made of Firebrand; I know I don't.

*Is glad the image is broken*

He who whines first whines last, eh?

In the first exhibit, you imply that he's incapable of changing (and by distant relation, learning), then you presume to speak for all of us (while carefully covering your bases), and finally top it off with a gross exaggeration.

In the second, and what cheapy called the final straw, you needlessly make an insensitive comment you know will hurt his feelings.

Back to the present.

But one wonders (by simply looking at the second exhibit mentioned above) if you would even have bothered to admit your mistake and apologize, if nobody had said anything.

But enough of this pointless bickering. I have better things to do than argue over something that is now moot.

Tired of my one misinformed post and because I don't like gargoyles? Ok there... Sorry for stating my opinion, I'll never do it again because you know .. I live in a dictatorship now.

"You must be very proud of yourselves." - Cheapy
That line includes you too.

and you sure did the most whining, let's not mention that if you can't take negative critism then get off the forums and IRC and go watch Care Bears and My Little Pony and ignore what goes on in the world. Oh, and how many times do I have to state I was wrong saying that? Read Carefully: I DIDN'T KNOW IT WAS A QUAKE MOD, THERE IS NO NEED TO BRING THAT POST UP AGAIN.

You're STILL pulling at straws by attacking my first post, guess what? I already admitted that the post was wrong! Remember? I guess not! If you forgot once again already, read up this post again - I even bolded it for you because I'm so nice.

What that gargoyles are "old" and "stoned" and that post could be interpreted over 100 different ways? because you know, gargoyles tend to be of old age and they sure can turn into stone! or whatever. Hey, why don't you take a jab at MauveBib for his comments? They sure were harsher then mine, infact you should still continue to attack him even after apologizing the same way I said I was wrong and am still being attacked.

Dr. Shadowborg wrote:

Wonder all you want, it won't do you any good; it doesn't prove anything either.

I already admitted my mistake before the second "exhibit", I don't recall having anything to apologize for? but if I had to apologize for being wrong then almost everybody including me would be writing apology notes till their death.

In conclusion: Rolling Eyes

Maybe that comment could be interpreted 100 different ways, but just remember, the next time somebody aplogizes to you for something, and then turns right around and snidely makes a comment that you think was intended to hurt, just remember that it "could be interpreted 100 different ways" before you start wondering if he was really sorry at all to begin with.

If this were a dictatorship, we'd probably both be jailed and on death row by now. I never said it was a dictatorship did I?

And as for not attacking Mauvebib, he didn't make comments that smell like "snide sarcastic comment" after his aplology either.

That post of yours regarding "old and stoned" doesn't have to prove anything. It speaks for itself. It speaks of itself as being tasteless, and inappropriate in consideration of the situation.

But, have it your way okay? Wink

And for what it's worth, Sorry for everything.
