Guys, I downloaded nquake.
I get this error when running though:

GLW_StartOpen() - could not load OpenGL subsystem

Any ideas???

I'd suggest asking a QW community. I'd never even heard of nquake until I just googled it.

sounds like you need to fix your opengl!

also ew nquake, how many 'quake distros' need to exist to violate shareware eula (let alone the Quake trademark name), pathetically tossing quake around like it's a free public domain game

I would say your drivers a messed up...

nQuake is just a packaging or a renaming of EzQuake... I installed in on my notebook running linux & all is fine when I run the ezquake-gl.glx

Besides haven't you been using other OpenGL quake engines before this?

In this version of ezquake you have options for the HUD.
I like to use the new HUD except that I cannot get the rectangle that shows the players top & bottom colors and their frag total to show up like it does in classic mode.
Is there a way to do this?
