Ok, here's the dealio. I asked a while back for a coder, and got one, and he's good, and quite alot of good work is going on. But we've hit a snag.

We need a texture artist, to do walls and stuff. Ask for details.

I'm not a texture artist, but you told me to ask for details. So what are the details?

Oh FFS I'm working on this project, other people are working on this project, I need more people to help the project get finished! How the hell do you expect anything to get released when all I get is "It'll never happen!"

tbh i've never seen a 'under wraps' mod project ever have a successful release ever. Is it private because it's cliche?

/me loves being ass

CheapAlert: We can tell.

I know Graham, I referred him to this forum. I'm pretty sure he won't go the path of the annoying noob modder; if he does, I'll be here to set him straight.

Graham: Sorry everyone's being nasty, it is a pretty tired thing though to see people walk in and try to recruit for secret projects.

Are you looking for 8 bit Quake palette textures of the mainly 64x64 style, or some crazy high-res full colour big textures with normal maps and everything?

Not that I'm a texture artist at all, just trying to get this thread back on track.

Larger high-detailed textures. This needs to look good. Smile

I generally don't know what people want to know, and I will tell you pretty much anything you ask.

Graham: Frankly, unless you tell us all about you project here, in the open, noone will be interested. You can trust me on that.

Noone is going to steal your ideas, so just go ahead and lay your plans in front of us. Keeping them secret (or PM only) will just hinder your progress.

Heres what people want to know, generally:

Is it singleplayer, multiplayer, or both?
If singleplayer, how long will it be? Whats the genre?

If multiplayer, is it team oriented? Classes? Vehicles?

What is the general setting and some of the variations?

Most of all, what do you think makes it a good idea? Tell us why it is awesome, so much so that we should be eager to hop on board and help out so as to make such a thing a reality so we can play it as well.

Ive seen you be persistent enough about this on irc and on forums to know that youve got at least something decent in mind, but when it comes to finding a team, mystery does not entice. Let us know what you want people for, and theyre more likely to want to join =)

Speak for yourself, I plan to steal everything, ideas included....then...somehow...profit from it. Haven't quite figured that middle part yet.

Steal his underpants, that's always a good start.
