The Hunted Chronicles is a first person survival horror game in which you take on the role of a lone survivor. Awoken by what seems to be an earth tremor uncommon in the city, you will be faced with horrific visions and alternate realities as you attempt to escape what hellish existence you have been thrown into. One step behind another survivor, finding his recordings and scribbled notes to document his existence, grotesque visions and monstrosities dead set on destroying you, chances of survival are bleak. However to overcome them you will need to lose a part of yourself and give into the animalistic emotions within you. Will you be? Or will you become? The hunted.
Features:
Immersive survival horror gameplay with story driven interaction
Full dynamic lighting and shadows for the creepiest atmospheres
Normal, specular, bump, glow maps with high resolution images to provide frightening realism and lots of room for creativity by the artists
Unique combat system allowing for a hybrid free look and aim combination for projectile based weapons, and unique melee gameplay allowing for gruesome final blows
Aware monsters that react to sight, sound, smell, touch. Allowing a player to hide in the shadows from an enemy, or sneak around them as to not make too much noise
Intuitive puzzles using a toggle able inventory menu to navigate your items and listen to audio tapes / logs.

A talented self motivated position in which you will be sculpting unique looking enemies and working on some more traditional models such as weaponry and details within the maps.
Requirements:
Self motivated capable modeler who can dedicate his/her time to hitting due dates
Fluent in a 3d modeling package and game related assets
A plus if:
+ Capable of texturing / uv-mapping the models

Self motivated talented artist fluent in a 2d texture application (preferably Photoshop)
Background in game asset related material creation

Requirements:
Fluent in a Radiant editor (preferably GTKRadiant / QERadiant)
Highly motivated, dedicated to hitting deadlines and working in tandem with every position on the team to create an immersive world, puzzles, and pacing of gameplay.

Figure I might as well announce it, and see if any talented individuals still dwell on these forums |

Hmm, talented people are hard to come by. We had to order some cheap ones from overseas. _________________ F. A. pork, an enlightened nobleman and a great patron of art, had a stately Baroque spa complex built on the banks of the River Labe. |

You have to give Chris credit for a good example of how to recruit for a mod.
Good points:
1. Clear concise information.
2. Well presented.
3. Nice dab of eye candy.
Bad point :
1. No mention of which engine.
2. "...and see if any talented individuals still dwell on these forums" - Could be taken the wrong way.
3. Sounds like "Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth"
Ta da! |

I think another bad point was starting with what basically comes off as an ad for the mod, finally, followed, at the very end with why he's posting, that he's looking for talented individuals.
I think a better approach would be to ask for help then explain the project for those who may be interested, reading through feature lists for a mod I'm already familiar with, looking for the point of the post, made me a tiny bit annoyed. |

In his defense, previous versions of this mod have been around for a while, and they have used the DarkPlaces as their engine. Still, with this new version, it might be a good idea to reiterate.

Well, it could also be argued that no one is going to consider joining a mod that they don't know anything about, so he might as well say a few things about it first... _________________ woh... feelin woozy... too much cider...

Yeah, I was hoping for a download link by the time I got to the bottom of the post, but realized it was a help wanted
As for help, I can't, sorry... There, my post wasn't off topic. _________________ F. A. pork, an enlightened nobleman and a great patron of art, had a stately Baroque spa complex built on the banks of the River Labe. |
