How would I move the gun position from the centre of the screen to the right in DirectQ???

By modifying the model. vb made a guide at besmella-quake once but the old pages are gone.

Yeah, the models the best way. You'll also need some new QC to shift the nails/rockets/etc.

There are a few engines that have done it in code, but it never really looks quite right, and will have compatibility issues with mods that use genuinely offset weapon models.

The main problem is not all weapon models are placed at the same position, so the settings that work for a weapon will not work for some of the others. Some of them will always look wrong.

IMO the best way is to move the camera a bit to the side, which Makaqu does, because this will not affect the gameplay.
