say you made a weapon that just stomps the crap out of the ground upward like the minotaur's fire attack in heretic what would you do to do it?????

i thought about using projectiles but that would be dumb

well, you could always just use particle(...) with a brown color setting and high count and upward velocity...

In certain quake engines, the particles would stick to walls and the ground too, sweet :p

this isn't about making debris it's about making something like a mjolnir only not sucking

Well, assuming you mean some sort of linear trail thing, I would use a traceline (with monster hitchecking off), coupled with spacing at the proper intervals along the two vector points, eith liberal use of a sprite entity that travels upward / T_RadiusDamage.
