Hello, I was playing the latest DP and I seen my ping over 40 in a local host... Is there a way or command to get zero ping as any other engine?
Thanks. _________________ There's no signature here. Stop looking for one. |

ping = ((sys_tickrate>framerate)?(1000/sys_tickrate):(1000/framerate)) + latency
chances are you only had 40fps at the time you noticed that high ping.
DP has server and client properly split up. Its just one frame. _________________ What's a signature? |

The current stable (Nov 20 2007) shows ping as 33 (sys_ticrate is 0.0333) 99% of the time when hosting a server. It's not correct for obvious reasons. Euroquakers shouldn't ping below 100 on my home servers
WhiteHot is currently hosting a recent beta (20080222beta1.zip) which doesn't show ping at all or shows up as 0 for other clients.
edit: I should add that these DP servers are running under the QUAKE protocol. _________________ SmashQuake at whitehot.quakeone.com
