ok, formatted my laptop's harddrive -> installed Win XP Pro (had XP home) -> went to Sony's website and entered my laptop's model number -> downloaded video drivers -> clicked to install them -> didn't recognize my laptop model and now I can't update any drivers.

video card is Radeon IGP 345m.

any help would be awesome.

umm, wheres the damn reply button? Have to use the quote button to make a reply.

Anyway, welcome yourself to the wonderful world of ATI drivers.
IGP 345m is a doozey!

Best bet is to try Omega drivers, I'm pretty sure the Catalyst 4.x series had support, you can grab Omega's Catalyst 4.12 from http://www.ngohq.com/home.php?page=Files&go=cat&dwn_cat_id=14&go=giveme&dwn_id=145

You can try the Catalyst 5 & 6 series, get them from http://www.ngohq.com/home.php?page=Files&go=cat&dwn_cat_id=14 but I'm not sure if they support the 345m or not.

Hope this helps, and best of luck, you're gonna need it with ATI

[Edit]
Evidently the latest Omega driver does still support the 345m

Willis: Reply is at the top of the thread. It's silly, I know, but I recall Randy said something about adding a new forum to I3D, so we may not have to endure with this one much longer.

The problem is not with the forum itself, but the template theme.

Yeah, I did look at the top (and I have replied here before), but I when I did look at the top, the icon instantly reminded me of "email thread" so I just skipped over it ;\
