Okay so we need:
To choose a date.
Find a host.
Find an event leader.
Time is going on, I suggest we choose em soon, or it'll be Qexpo 2015... and by then I want to be jacked in to the matrix playing Quake 9. _________________ ><)))'> |

Pah, Quake9 sucks. The physics are totally off, not to mention ugly colors and over-done pain stimulus.
Now Unreal Tournament 2015 Championship... that's where it's at.
Seriously though, June, July, August... it's all good for me. Later months means I get more time to polish my mods, but I don't want it going for too long. July is kinda what I'm thinking, but I'm open to other dates.
I don't know much about servers, so I won't comment on that.
As for a team leader, a lot of the gurus are pretty over-burdened and burned out from getting every large project shoved into their hands. I don't want to risk getting myself nominated for the job... I just think we should get some people who would like to lead to volunteer for the job, instead of a military volunteer i.e. "I volunteer FrikaC to do it all. He has time."
What exactly would team leader be asked to do? _________________ When my computer inevitably explodes and kills me, my cat inherits everything I own. He may be the only one capable of continuing my work. |

Yea, but everything in Tenebrea still looks like it's caked in doughnut glaze...
BTW, I've been learning PHP, limited mysql, lots of perl, and some flash. Perhaps those will come in handy... _________________ When my computer inevitably explodes and kills me, my cat inherits everything I own. He may be the only one capable of continuing my work. |

I've no clue about a host or an event leader, but I want to put in a vote for an august date. |

August woudl be great for me - but not 13th to 20th cos I'm on me hols.
Though I appreciate it's not going to be based around my holiday arrangements ... but it would be nice to make it for once, with something to relelase. _________________ my site |

August is an awful long ways away, but I think it would be fine. _________________ "Roboto suggests Plasma Bazooka." |

Ok, so I guess we've got a rough date then.
Any volunteers to organise/run the thing? _________________ Apathy Now! |

Nah, I hear Tenebrae7 has gotten some serious optimizing. And Quake9 isn't that bad. I hear the modding potential is pretty good. Dunno about UT2015 though. _________________ woh... feelin woozy... too much cider...

Well, yea, I guess after 15 years the tenebrea team would have gotten it right.
Anyway, August is a long ways away, but I guess it's good. _________________ When my computer inevitably explodes and kills me, my cat inherits everything I own. He may be the only one capable of continuing my work. |

The sole reason why August is good is because it's so far away
I need time to work on stuff if I'm to release anything. _________________ Look out for Twigboy |

Question for anyone,
how much will it cost to get the Qexpo hosted somewhere? _________________ ><)))'> |
