Quake Expo 2005 added Quake 2 to the mix, are we still doing that? Are we extending it to Quake 3 also? |

Just my personal opinion being a diehard Quake 1 guy, please no Quake 2 or Quake 3 for Quake's 10th anniversary. |

That is a thought I have been wrestling with since I took the helm.
I am first and foremost a fan of the original Quake, however, I do not dislike 2 or 3, I just enjoy them less. But this is Quake's 10th anniversary, not 2 or 3's. However we have already played host to the other modders with the 05 expo...
Perhaps it would be best to allow Q2 and Q3 booths, but with a disclaimer upon signing up that this Expo is particularly focused on the original Quake and though we welcome all forms of creativity and dedication to a Quake game, Quake is going to get 95% of the emphasis (though an update to a Q2 booth would still make the frontpage). |

I would but I have class in 45 minutes and will be afk for 8 hours (aside from forums while at work).
Maybe when I get back tonight... maybe. If not, tomorrow. |

Another interesting proposition would be to open it up more to the mappers too. I know we had a couple of people do maps for the last QExpo, and we even had a speedmapping session, but I think those people heard about it by word of chat - did we even post anything at Func_MsgBoard last year? _________________ woh... feelin woozy... too much cider...

Ive had communication with metlslime and have maintained communication with than. It has also been brought up by mappers at func_msgboard already, where I commented and left mention of the dates. Than said he would ask metl to make a temporary QExpo sticky on the subject. I do know several mappers have releases planned, as well as speed and turtlemapping events. |

I'd really like to see this discussion taking place at func: http://www.celephais.net/board/view_thread.php?id=44808&end=50
Just because everyone can post there without registration.
Or if you want a "unbiased" place to discuss you could also post in my forums (also without registration), as I think Quaddicted is a pretty independent place without privileges for anyone. _________________ Quake Maps |

Of course we did.

What's with the bold? Posting without registration isn't so great. And if you wanted to comment on Quake Expo you ought to come to where the event originated (here). _________________
