Same question here
I think most active people are working on their project and stay on their own forum : OpenArena, Tremulous, Alien Arena, Warsow, Quake2XP ...etc.
Even before the fall of QuakeSrc the community was very strewn, it's only worse now. _________________ coopordie.com : cooperate or perish for quake2 |

I see some updating. There's a new error message (which appears to be a standard custom 404 page, as it contains a link back to the "main site" (which will naturally generate a 404 as there is no "main site" and bring you back to the error page)) and a new icon.
Let's hope it's not too long before it's back. _________________ DirectQ Engine - New release 1.8.666a, 9th August 2010

It's the first site i've ever designed a favicon for. _________________

Gotta figure, the server runs on a Adam computer, with a 6 baud externel modem rigged threw the Colecovision expansion port. So he probably started uploading the forums months ago, juss taking some time. Also seeing there is no harddrive on the server it has to write to the dual cassete drives, which the drive eat the cassetes so he had to spend a few weeks trying to reroll the tapes back up with a pencil. |

That what the Backups were on. See he fed the cards threw a hacked impact printer, that had spikes glued to the head of each of the letters, to perform data transfer (The superior backup script). What happened was his IBM 700 mainframe located in a bunker in the mountains somewhere had a vacuum tube blow out, leileilol was suppose to be in charge of maintness, but when he saw the machine down, he started stripping parts from it to build Naked 3d RetroTech models. |

I think he was just shitting us, doesn't seen to be ever coming back up, i mean seriously, how long does it take to copy a backup to the server. It's like vaporware, you decide you dont want to do something, so you update some bull every once awhile, than you make the status less frequent, than sooner or later people forget about it. |
