This is an idea I've had for years, but never got around to completing. It's an AI experiment to recreate something like the Half Life marine battles in QC.

It's not finished yet, but it's coming along nicely:

Any feedback will be gratefully recieved.

The 10 minutes I spent on my laptop checking this out is making me want to load it on my desktop so I can use a real mouse.

Even though I couldn't stay alive at that long using this touchpad to aim, I'm already impressed by the AI.

Cheers. I'm going to waypoint up some other maps so I can test them in different environments.

Haven't had a chance to try yet, but since I find all AI stuff intriguing, I took a look at the readme, and without hijacking the thread too much, I just wanted to say I were very happy to see the unlimited clips thing with your weapon. More games should do this. Imagine a deathmatch game where you have no ammo pickups, only guns, and they have an unlimited set of clips. The reloading creates several tactical elements as well as it reduces spamming severely. Awesome.

Please do something, I'm often getting unexpected end of archive.
EDIT: Got it successfully. Man, really cool, I was thinking about that, but for me was nearly impossible to get the ai like HL's. Would be nice if I could convert HL grunt model.

In Ace of Nails people gave me such heck for the unlimited ammo thing... Wink

Mauve, I still need to try this. I love well made tactical team AI though and I wish it was available more often. In Conquest I wanted the player to have monsters with him, and you could give certain monsters some of your weapons and have them fight along side you. But Quake AI is prohibitive. Sad
