Oh, don't worry, there's gonna be ple-nty of that!
It's actually a bit of a problem, I'm going to have to tweak difficulty a little bit (plus it makes testing kind of hard )
Thanks for the encouragement! |

looks cool (and frustrating, both in terms of gameplay and texture alignment)
wasn't there even some mapper who indicated interest in contributing..? |

Hehe
I must admit I wasn't sure what the status on that was... but yeah, I think I should put together either a simple demo or at least a list of entities. I have to give exams tomorrow and the day after, but I'll try to post that as soon as I can |

So my plan is to create a little bundle with a polished-up version of the tutorial map (first screenshot (different skybox than previously scheduled)), a text document explaining the entities needed to map (and I'm planning to add a couple new ones before in order to anticipate on a couple of game modes I wanted to implement) and maybe throw a "bonus" map in the mix.
"Bonus" maps are slightly different than the others, usually simpler. The two next screenshots shows two of them. The last one has a meteors (well, lava balls, in fact) rain. Looks pretty cool when combined with that skybox
Note: I hope it's okay if I post all these here. I don't intend to spam the forum or anything, but I'm a little too lazy to update my site and this is just easier |

Heh, pic posts have been popular lately (lo there Chillo).
These all look very good, and its amazing what a skybox can add. |

Yeah, tell me about it! They certainly make up for my otherwise rather poor mapping skills... It's a bit sad, but then, hey, why not. |

Honestly the maps dont look poor at all, its just that the necessity of them is fairly simple. You don't have to be a good mapper to make a Hurried Descent map either, and it can still be fun.
Your mod just calls for more open spaces, which fits quite well with skyboxes, that do add a lot to the look of a shot (and help provide non-boring depth perspective). |

Thanks!
Here is a little video for you: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=evmnPS4T4bI (of number 2, in fact )
The music is from music artist Stamen, who has given me the right to use some of his tracks in the mod. The tutorial music will also be from him, even though obviously a little slower in pace. You can listen to some of his later work on his site: http://www.mikseri.net/artists/?id=43608. The music for the tutorial will be the track called "Lost Giants"
Right now, all is left is polishing the tutorial map and preparing a little text file, and then the release of the little demo pack should be ready _________________ http://www.planetcocot.net/ |

Hehe, thanks guys
Well, there won't be any new model in the demo but I'd like to have something done for the full release, certainly. I really do suck tremendously as a modeler, though, so maybe I'll have to nick something from another mod or go kind of minimalist _________________ http://www.planetcocot.net/ |
