I've checked my laptop, and sadly I don't have the unmodified Hurried Descent on there anymore.
Sorry guys. _________________ Forum lurker |

My Quake folder feels right once more, having a folder named 'hurried' in it. |

It does not have to be a fond memory anymore, RuneQuake is actually the number one played Quake mod today! You can always find somebody to play with at that server any day and almost any time of the day.
The mod has more than the 4 basic runes and the gameplay offers a lot of posibilities. It is also very easy to pick up and play and loads of FUN! I play it at every chance I get to touch Quake and I never get bored with it.
The server to connect to is Quake.Shmack.Net and the website for it can be found here, www.RuneCentral.com. You can use any client to connect and it requires no downloads.
It is highly recommended that it is played with the full registered version of Quake 1 to be able to move together with the server to new levels as the server switches them.

Hey Mr Akuma sir!
Hurried and Slowmo were two of the mods that first got me inspired to mod; simplicity + effectiveness, great stuff _________________ my site |

Well since nobody else did it even if it's self promotion I'm gonna add Stealth Quake to my list. |

In no particular order:
FrikbotX
OUM
Quoth
Stealth Quake (just because)
Hellsmash: QSR (Yes, I know it's mine, but hell, if RennyC can get away with it )
Can't think of any others ATM. _________________ "Roboto suggests Plasma Bazooka." |

Thanks Error! This might be a more recent version of cyberquake v4:
http://random-productions.co.uk/quake/cyberv4.zip
I think it probably has some slightly smarter bots when it comes to their buying decisions. Dunno what version the moddb is, I don't ever remember uploading it. Anyone with the appropriate access might like to point the 'site' link there to http://random-productions.co.uk/quake/ , since that's as close to a Quake site as I have these days.
Also, that's not actually the mod I released called BattleMech, which was a single player job where you could buy stuff to upgrade your mech and you had individual turrets and the bad guys got harder and harder no matter what order you played the levels in, and eventually enforcers ended up with red armour and railguns. In fact, I think that's what the mech.zip is. You need to play it with its own engine, lthquake, included I think, for which I've lost the source code, rendering further development harder than I can be bothered to contemplate. _________________ randomviolence - tactical combat boardgame |
