To start off with, I’ve already built my mod with darkplaces. I’ve just got a few problems with the mac port now.

Where my problem lays is not with compiling darkplaces on mac but with some of the issues after compiling it. I’ve actually compiled darkplaces from the terminal. I’ve got the darkplaces-agl.app and darkplaces-sdl.app on macosx. The problem is that when I run the applications a terminal screen pops up with some text and then it doesn’t run.

This is the text that pops up in the terminal:

Welcome to Darwin!
Console initialized.
DarkPlaces-Quake Mac OS X 12:52:35 May 20 2008
Trying to load library... "libz.dylib" - loaded.
Compressed files support enabled
Quake Error: base gamedir id1/ not found!

I’m not sure why it can’t find the id1 directory, especially when the id1 directory is in the same folder as the darkplaces application. I’ve tried running pre-built darkplaces and nexuiz applications—they run but, hey, I want my custom app with code changes.

If some one could shed some light on this I’d be most gracious.
Are there macosx steps someone could guide me through?

Casing issue? Try renaming your ID1 folder to id1
