k gotta question, if i was to make a texture say i think the adapter for worldcraft highest is 512x512 and i aligned it in worldcraft when mapping , and i was to make a higher resolution version of the same texture would darkplaces automatically align it correctly?

Replacement textures wrap at the exact same locations that the originals did.
Replace a 64*64 image with a 4096*4096 image and you won't any get less repetitions. You'll get more detail instead.

so the tga will shrink itself down to fit?
