Hello.
I am sure the experienced quake players will have noticed this physics "thing" for lack of a better word.
In stock Quake if you are on a slant no matter how small the slant is you slide down it. Which is fine for fast paced game play which is what Quake is meant for, but Quake is used so much for various mods that this is a problem for some people..
What about setting a minimum angle for it?
In the sense that its value was 30 which would make it so any slant with an angle less then 30 you wouldn't slide down and any slant with an angle higher then 30 you would.
Next question:
Is there an alternate to vweps? Or a simpler solution? _________________

I couldn't get the edit page to load.
What about makeing it like this, if you can walk up the slope at Y amount of speed then you can't slide down it? _________________

Lying for a bump, eh?
Anyway, try sv_edgefriction. You can't define it through console, I don't think, but it's somewhere in the engine source. No clue if this is what you're looking for, but I think it might be. |

Thank you Downsider.
Also, I couldn't get it to load so no I wasn't trying to bump the post because it is still on the first page. _________________
