I guess that explains the falling inside of lifts bug. :O Damn, all those hours wasted trying to fix it by moving waypoitns around and whatnot. At least now I know. Very Happy

I wonder what engine to use, the Frikbots would probably function overall alot better with the right physics Very Happy It could explain them having an incredibly hard time jumping, but i'm not sure.

Updated main post with monster's aerowalk wayfile, and DMA8 "Excessus" .ent and wayfile.

The .ent file does quite a bit for the map, removing doors that really had no point, fixing the floortrap / health problem, and rerouting the second secret door leading from the quad passage to the trap room to the same switch.

Now, on to dma11!

Enjoy!

I found some old waypoint packs from an old quake expo.

This one includes aerowalk, becoming, chesdm2, chesdm3, jvoxdm3, mcmdm04, rapture1, and veddm7. I think these were made by Quest.

http://qexpo2001.quakedev.com/qexpo/upload/61/waypack1.zip

Heres another map + waypoint file. also comes with a .lit file, don't know what that does though :O

http://qexpo2001.quakedev.com/qexpo/upload/15/kz1on1a.zip

The map is Yellow Snow by KrimZon. The waypoint is made by KrimZon also.

Its great to keep finding more waypoints. I'll dig around some more and try to find others. Very Happy

(shub-hub is kinda broke right now, so filefront will have to do)

Heres the link to download the fragtown maps:

Have fun with em!

I now have the complete FRD site, Quest sent me it the other day, I intend to do something with it soon. I'm open to suggestions, though.

FrikaC: does that site still have all the waypoints with it ? If you ever host it on Inside3D or your site, we'd have to figure which ones to keep and remove. IIRC there were some old ID1 waypoints there, but not all of them. I think some of those waypoints were also from the old .09 and .08 versions. That'd be great if you could host it somehow, we need a more "user-friendly" place to download waypoints, rather than a file archive, what we have right now.

Didn't FRD (frikbot resource depot) also have FBX mods and utilities too ?

just do it up

i could probably host it as well. the space i have here is well suited for archival and is shared on the same host as an official idgames archive mirror

I spent the other night fixing some of the PHP. It can now be uploaded as is, but I was thinking of just re-working my site and putting the content up there along with some other scattered stuff like the FBX dissection. It'd be nice to stick it all in one place.
