Basing your AI on id's is going to make this mod really crappy, it's not suitable for L4D gameplay at all. They're just not fast/agressive enough. By the time you hack it in it would have been easier, better and cleaner to do it from scratch.

Well we are gona modify ID's AI, we had no intentions of using stock AI. Its just we dont have a (skilled) coder that can do that. Even if we got a decent coder would it even be possible to make a quake style AI director?
On the subject of coders, you still havent answered me. You said show you some of the work and you might consider coding for us. Aside from the coder we have a full team, we have mappers, modeler, animator, texture artist, GFX artist, site manager, the whole deal. Except for a coder. So will you code for us? Your already halfway there lol Razz

You could learn to code yourself. QuakeC is not hard at all and doesn't require prior C experience to get into it.

By the way just to get ahead in the way of perfectionism, your first coding job will suck, there is no exception to the rule for anyone, so scrap your qc and start over after 2 attempts and you'll have a better grasp of it after trial and error.

Because I don't want to be the only member of a team that knows what he's doing.

I know my first coding job will suck, but i cant be Left 4 quake's only coder, otherwise there will be no left 4 quake. c0burn, i DO know what im talking about, i know how to use the hell out of an "if" statement, its just idk how to call upon functions with code such as entities, or weapon frames, or etc.
And why being the only coder be so bad? You can do the code all you want and you can do it your way and not worry about collaborating with another and exchanging codes and making sure your code works with his, its all you. And while i dont know a lot, i do know, and i can look at pretty much any function and know what it does and why, i just dont know enough syntax to do it myself.
So please really consider it. We really don't wanna wait months upon months so i can catch up on my coding so we can put stuff into this game when there a plenty of unemployed coders here.
So please help. save Left 4 Quake....
