Meh, I registered quakewiki.org a while ago hoping that Echon (quakedev.com) would be willing to setup his end of it. He never replied to my contact attempts. I think it would be tremendously helpful to the wiki to have it at a nice place (here =URL).
I'll continue to try contacting Echon. _________________ Quake Maps |

Thanks for the bump, I'm rather sad it hasn't been able to move yet, it is a much more favorable URL.
I'll try and keep on occasionally posting to it, and I must implore those with technical skills (good understanding of mapping or quakec particularly) to help out occasionally on expounding on an article, or simply defining a function or entity. We are seeing, happily, an increased flow in new users wanting to create content and this would be an excellent resource to not only archive the culture of, and engender an appreciation of the culture of Quake, but to also service as a bit of technical reference (things like crandom versus random, what vlen is best used for, how to use an info_counter and so on). _________________ ...and all around me was the chaos of battle and the reek of running blood.... and for the first time in my life I knew true happiness. |
