|
|
I did a Google for some GPL Quake textures and found a page made by the people behind OpenQuartz
http://gg.planetquake.gamespy.com/textures/index.html
But the file download links are broke and appear to perhaps point to another PlanetQuake hosted folder.
Does anyone have an idea on what could be done to fix this somehow?
I was looking for a teleporter texture for a rocket arena selector map I'm making and decided to go with 100% public domain or GPL textures because I simply don't want hassles/entanglement.
I can find another texture or make one, no big deal.
But I'm more concerned about what looks like a high quality open source-ish Quake wad collection being gone.
I don't really know very much about the inner workings of PlanetQuake or their file storage system to know how to correct the link or who to contact at PlanetQuake.
(A month ago I wrote a letter to PlanetQuake and included several URLs that didn't work. They said they'd be fixed, but haven't so far. I'm not blaming them, I'm sure they are busy but I just don't want to waste my time sending an email for nothing to happen.) |
