What are some?
Problem is, these two years are filled with boring designs with an overemphasis on weapon platform brushes, architecture and trimming, than fun. (And the highest abuse rate of Quake2 textures recorded in Quake mapping history, as well as the horrible ikbase walls/floors that turn a level green or weird rust)
I've noticed that when slowly going through all the DM maps found on idgames2/ in reverse alphabetical, primarily for inspiration reasons... _________________

Those years actually were the birth of some of the best maps.
I recently launched a experimental dm map dump at http://www.quaddicted.com/multiplayer/
You can get a list of all the maps at that link if you append ?all=sorryspiritbutireallywanttoseethemall to the URL. (this might change)
Then click on the date table header and wait for your browser to unfreeze. Those dates are not scientific and many will be wrong, but it is a nice start I guess. Feel welcome to tag maps, the resulting data will all be free for everyone else to use.
Also try going backwards from http://mpqarchive.pauked.com/index.php?view=showdate&pageno=19
Examples:
aerowalk
androm9
ztndm6
efdm9
agressr
edc
bless
spinev2
a2

A lot of maps to try in spare time. And a great source of inspiration, too. _________________ My Projects: Quake 1 Mods | OpenQuartz 2 | ChipQuake |
