Yup, that's right! You can download it at the following address:

http://www.fileplanet.com/185061/180000/fileinfo/Spacewalk-1.0-for-Quake1
And, since you're at it, download the "hotfix" for possible problems with teleporting platforms: http://cocot.planetquake.gamespy.com/spfix.zip Razz

Mirrors (contain the hotfix):
http://www.mediafire.com/?fj9c1u9s5f3
http://shub-hub.com/files/mods_singleplayer/Spacewalk.zip

I hope you guys enjoy it! (and remember, this is Darkplaces-only, by the way...)
As you will see, mapping for it is rather easy. I'd love to see some user-created content for this and I think "remix" maps could be a lot of fun! Hint, hint! Wink
There are 20 maps available with this release, the mod obviously starts with easier ones and the difficulty increases as you go along. All maps are beatable Wink

Urre : Uncanny, uh? Very Happy

Labman : Mmm, that's weird. I've tested it again and it works for me. There are two things that comes to mind that might explain this, even though I'm not sure how it would affect you and not me, but just in case: 1) maybe try to walk very slowly when using the teleporting platforms. They tend to give you a little momentum when they teleport you, one that is linked to the velocity that you have when you touch the first one. Maybe you touch it with too much speed and are being pushed at the extremity of the second platform and are touching a red one again or 2) are you sure you're not jumping (SpaceWalk does not allow for that)?
Another thing that I can thing of is that the map's gravity gets somehow overridden by one of your settings. I don't really know how this could happen, though...
If anything, you can pass that map, try the next one and see how it goes. (maps are numbered (sw1,sw2,sw3,sw4, etc.).
I hope we'll find a way to fix that issue! Anyone else experienced that?

I've replayed some maps and I must admit the teleporters can sometimes be a bit tricky. Make sure you approach them slowly. Map five (sw5) can be hard to get through because of that. I'll fix that in my next version. Wink

Would removing player velocity on teleportation help?
Anyways I'll download this but I won't be able to play it until Sunday, I'll give you some feedback then CocoT, and congrats on the mod; looks fun!

Yeah, you're totally right, Ren, that would help a lot. Thanks!
Here is a "hotfix" if you encounter this issue: http://cocot.planetquake.gamespy.com/spfix.zip
Just replace your old progs.dat by the one in the archive.

Canadian*Sniper: So funny! I hadn't even thought of it, but, it's true, it's totally Q-Bert-like! Laughing Too bad players are not allowed to jump to reach platforms (I did that to keep players from jumping across the void onto another platform), otherwise Q-Bert-like levels would have been totally possible! Smile
Of course, then, we'd still be missing monsters Wink

Oh, and thanks for the news item, Scar! Very Happy

Ok I lied, I played it tonight Smile
Anyways, wow this mod is fun, tricky to get the first few times but when you pick it up and keep playing it's really fun plus a mod that makes you use your brain is always a bonus. Good work went into this, nice one CocoT!

Yup, I saw that Sad
I've just answered some remarks made by Metlsime and Kell. They make some interesting points, some of which I'll take into account for the next version.
You can't please everyone, obviously.
