Is it possible to print a message with some other colour than white? Like this: You got an Automatic Needle SMG with Poison Needles

alternativly in any engine (charset willing), you can add 128 to every char's value to get it in red (hex editor?).
(in fteqcc you can use \s to set the rest of that string to be red)

Thanks, I think the ^# number method is better. Looks like it's just 10 colours? Just good, I don't have to try out hundreds of numbers to find out what's the correct...

Here's a list of them:
^1 = red
^2 = green
^3 = yellow
^4 = blue
^5 = turquise
^6 = purple
^7 = white
^8 = light grey
^9 = dark grey
^0 = black

is it possible to make in a standard gl quake engine blue and red text without modifing the conchars?
