Hi again.

I'm already very busy but I feel like making a new release for HOBH. Since the expo ended I have used r2 as a testbed for a few experimental ideas intended for the next iteration of my project. After comparing the current experimental version of r2 with the release version, I feel the game has improved enough to warrant an r3 release.

I should note that only changes are related to game mechanics, though. I know I've said that I wanted to write a votemenu system for HOBH but to be honest I just cannot get the motivation to design one. As I've mentioned I'm already very busy with the project HOBH was a test for and if possible I'd like to get this out quickly. If I forgo writing a voting system I could hopefully get everything polished and ready before the end of next week.

The reason I'm writing this post instead of just getting r3 ready for release is that I want to know if wheter or not a votemenu system for r3 would be a waste of my time. If I implement a votemenu system in r3 and commit to actively maintaining HOBH, would you or someone you know run a server for HOBH? Would you play on such a server if someone ran one? If there isn't much interest I'll probably shelve HOBH once my current project is ready. But if someone is willing to invest time and effort into running a server I *will* keep working on HOBH as long as I have the time to.

Your opinions would be appreciated, thanks.

Sorry for the delay, I've only just now had time to get r3 ready for release. This will most likely be the final release as I want to spend my time on other projects now - this experiment has already served its purpose. A changeset from r2 to r3:

* If you're running the mod on DP or playing on a DarkPlaces server, hit +jump while in midair to perform a UT200x style double jump.

* Some weaponset tweaks, melee attacks will push you forward and rockets will curve based on your velocity.

* You can call a vote to end the round and warp to the next map with 'nextmap'

im checkin it out Smile

VERY fun game, wish the server was still up. noticed a few bugs, which im pretty sure are all fixable.

- On the fiends arms, they need to be either rotated up, or pushed backwards, when running/moving you see the top of the model where you chopped the arms off of the orginal model.

- only certain classes can get pick ups

- even fiends can pick up weapons, just not use them.

- sometimes you spawn right next to your enemy at the begginings of matches.

prolly more i noticed... but i cant remember them all. its not an extreamly buggy mod in my opinion, i hope there' s still work being done on it Very Happy
