Yee Smile

Here's some poses that I tested ingame... the crouching pose is a bit too tall.. I'd like to get it to half of the standing height:

I also coded some crouching code.. (not complete yet..) I made it so that one press of the button, gets you down into crouching. Another press of the button gets you more down into crawling. Then there's another button to get you up. Jump button could work, but I thought I wanted the player be able to jump and stay in crouched pose. Disabled jumping from crawling pose, but it could still do something.

Nice work , i do however see some smoothing problems on the model , it really helps if you want the shadow to be casted properly , but then again it might just be the angle.

There will be some smoothing errors that I can't take away in neck and a bit below the belly button. They're because the model is split from there to allow the different parts to use different animations. Or change the model of a part, when character gets/throws away some clothes, armour...

Smoothing problems elsewhere.. I think they're from my texturing skills Embarassed

On the contrary i really like the texture.

About the crouch, i think that pose doesnt suit a creature of this type , the body scaling is to different then a normal human.

How about this pose, (Sorry for the god awful drawing, had to make it quick.

I know you wanted half the standing height but i cant see that happening.

Here are 2 smoothing problems i noticed at a glance.

Nothing really noticeable unless they are pointed out but they're there.

The first shot is clearly just his arm shadowing the torso, but I can agree on the second one. Seems similar to the problems Chris has been having.

That monster looks frightening, I love it. Some kind of human-inhuman freakyness.

If it was smoothed properly you wouldn't see certain polys having shadows , theres no gradient.

From what I can see, there's no light source coming in from the left to cast on the torso.

I've noticed that shadows are rendered like the model was completely faceted, at least sometimes it looks like that.

That crouching pose you drawed SamUK, I think it would be too close to the crawling pose I thought of having. But thanks anyway. I'd like the crouching pose be a pose that doesn't need it to touch the floor with hands. I was doing some experiments with crouching myself today...

With computer I made some head animations:
