1. Against the wall on the right of the Plaza Of Arches where you start in this map, some small steps are hidden by shadow. Jump up these and pass through an illusionary wall to an alcove. The wall is marked out by a slight difference in texture.
2. After you have aquired the Gold Key and escaped the spiked crusher, return to the same room and drop back down into the corridor. At the far end, behind where the Key was, you'll see a Quad and a teleporter. Hurry up! The crusher will activate a few seconds after you drop down and track back along to its original position.

3. The lava pool underneath these metal stairs has no solid floor. Jump into it and you'll drop straight through to the room below. A teleporter returns you to the pad at the foot of the stairs.
4. In the north wall of the Libris Vertiginis, below the archway that leads out to the Silver Key plinth, a smaller arch is hidden in shadow. Travel round on the platform and use your muzzle flash for illumination if need be.
5, 6. In the corners of the rooms that flank the Libris Vertiginis, opposite the chambers that contain the pentagram switches, are two platforms. Each is activated by a shootable switch, in different positions for each. The west switch is located under the bottom flight of steps; the east switch is located under the top flight of steps. Shoot the switches and step onto the platforms. After a second or two they will rise and grant you access to the archways above.

7. Passing through the silver door, two bookcases sit side by side within a pair of arches. The one on the left holds a book which protrudes from its shelf. Push the book into the shelf and both bookcases will descend to reveal a short corridor beyond.
Rune Two is inside.

8. One of the chambers at the top of the flooded labyrinth is blocked by a barrier. Swim down and into the darkest, rearmost chamber where a shootable switch is located in the roof. This will drop the barrier.
