================================================================ Title : AQUILA.WAD Author : Daniel Jenkins Email Address : djenkins@badlands.nodak.edu Description : I got the idea for this wad while playing Ledges. It is built primarily for deathmatch, and has all the weapons. The rocket launcher is at the top of an "eagle's nest" type of tower. Hence the name, which is the genus of the Golden Eagle. To get the plasma gun or BFG you must trudge through a sewer of nukeage. Be careful, once you enter the sewer a bright firewall becomes visible to the other players, alerting them to where you are at. I've also got ammo for the weapons in rooms that are accessible via teleporters. Additional Comments : This is the first wad I've released, although I've got a couple others in the works. (This is easily the smallest.) Please send tons of feedback. I've only tested this in two player deathmatch and single play. It should work with 3-4 deathmatch or Co-op. Additional Credits to :Mark K. Gresbach Jr. for Ledges.wad which is in part the inspiration for Aquila. And of course the guys at iD for the best game around. ================================================================ * Play Information * Episode and Level # : E2M1 Single Player : Yes Cooperative 2-4 Player : Yes, much too easy. Not many monsters. Deathmatch 2-4 Player : Definitely the best way to play it. Difficulty Settings : No New Sounds : No New Graphics : No Demos Replaced : None * Construction * Base : New level from scratch Build Time : A couple of weeks. 25+ hrs. Editor(s) used : WINDEU 5.24, DEEPBSP Known Bugs : a couple of minor texture alignment problems I couldn't fix them without either a major reworking of part of the level, or compromising the look of one section or the other. So I got lazy. * Copyright / Permissions * Authors MAY use this level as a base to build additional levels. Feel free to do what you want with this wad. I'd appreciate it however if you'd send me a copy if you build on to it in any way. * Where to get this WAD * FTP sites: ftp.cdrom.com & other doom mirrors
