=========================================================================== Review : A castle. I like it very much. I played it hundreds of times again and again. =========================================================================== Primary purpose : Single+Coop play / Deathmatch =========================================================================== Title : CASTLE.WAD Filename : CASTLE.WAD Note by the uploader : This came originally in CASTLE.ZIP. The zip was renamed, because there was already a zip with that name in the /idgames archives. Release date : 04/24/94 MM/DD/YY (Timestamp of the WAD and textfile) Author : Alex Siegel Email Address : alexs@tss.com Other Files By Author : VILLAGE.WAD TRIANGLE.WAD CHASE.WAD THEPITS.WAD Description : Imagine that you walk up to a castle. It's big, and very dark. You look up. Somebody is shooting at you from the turrets! Better start moving, or you'll never escape. You run around the outside. The castle is surrounded by a moat, and there's no back door. Just a small window high up on one wall. Darn, you'll have to go in the front door. I built this level from scratch using BEU5.0 and BSP11X. It is the biggest, most complex level that I've ever seen. Well over a thousand vertices and linedefs. Lot's of tricky bits, pretty scenery, and violence. I would appreciate seeing an LMP for a triple 100% on ultraviolent. This level replaces episode 1, map 1. It allows multi-player and deathmatch games. It's tuned for single player. =========================================================================== * What is included * New levels : 1 Sounds : No Music : No Graphics : No Dehacked/BEX Patch : No Demos : No Other : No Other files required : No * Play Information * Game : DOOM Map # : E1M1 Single Player : Designed for Cooperative 2-4 Player : Designed for Deathmatch 2-4 Player : Designed for Other game styles : No Difficulty Settings : Yes See wadwhatoutput.txt for more information. * Construction * Base : New from scratch Editor(s) used : DEU5.0, BSP11X * Where to get the file that this text file describes * The mirrors of the /idgames -ftp-archives: ftp://ftp.fu-berlin.de/pc/msdos/games/idgames/ http://public.ftp.planetmirror.com/pub/idgames/ http://www.gamers.org/pub/idgames/ ftp://ftp.ntua.gr/pub/vendors/idgames/ http://ftp.ntua.gr/pub/vendors/idgames/ ftp://ftp.chg.ru/pub/games/idgames/ http://ftp.chg.ru/pub/games/idgames/ ftp://ftp.mancubus.net/pub/idgames/ http://ftp.mancubus.net/pub/idgames/ http://youfailit.net/pub/idgames/ http://ftp.fdn.fr/games/idgames/ ftp://ftp.clinet.fi/pub/mirrors/archives.3dgamers.com/idgames/ ftp://ftp.task.gda.pl/pub/games/idgames/ ftp://ftp.netc.pt/pub/idgames/ http://ftp.netc.pt/pub/idgames/ http://crydee.sai.msu.ru/ftproot/pub/rec/games/idgames/ The upload-server of the /idgames-archives is: ftp://archives.3dgamers.com/pub/idgames/ But please use the above listed mirrors for your downloads. =========================================================================== Submitted to the /idgames-ftp-archives by FunDuke --> funduke@hotmail.com The review at the beginning of this template has been written by FunDuke.
