=========================================================================== Archive Maintainer : This map should work on all limit-removing ports. Specifically tested on Zdoom 2.8.1 and Chocolate Doom 1.0.1 Advanced engine needed : Limit-removing (PRBoom, Boom+, Zdoom, Chocolate Doom) Primary purpose : Single play =========================================================================== Title : Underneath the hell machine Filename : UTHM.wad Release date : 05-02-2005 Author : SniffsMcFuggles Email Address : [redacted] Other Files By Author : None, I mean I made a few more but they have been lost to time. Misc. Author Info : First ever Doom map I made back when I was 10, found it on an old HDD and used some modern tools to clean it up. Description : This map takes place immediately after Episode 1, but takes the spot of maps E1M1 through E1M9, after Doom Guy dies (spoiler), he is transported to planet Ectosationariology 97, the tech-inspired hell planet. You wake up, locked and loaded, but unaware of where you are. Surrounded by more demons than you can shake a BFG at, you must fight your way through the hell that is your new home. These 9 levels take place both in a base/hell inspired location, and take you deep within the sewers of the hell machine. What you soon learn is a planet featuring some strange machine that is creating all the monsters that have wrecked havoc on Deimos. They are transported throughout the universe, so you must destroy them before the world is overrun again. There are putrid waste pits, crushers, traps, secrets, lots of monsters. Dark hallways, explosions, and evil baddies. Tested in Zdoom and Chocolate Doom, played all the way through Maps 1 through 9. Any limit removing source port should be able to handle this, especially since it isn't 2005 anymore. =========================================================================== * What is included * New levels : 9 Sounds : No Music : Yes Graphics : Yes Dehacked/BEX Patch : No Demos : No Other : No Other files required : None * Play Information * Game : Doom Map # : E1M1-9 Single Player : Designed for Cooperative 2-4 Player : No Deathmatch 2-4 Player : No Other game styles : None Difficulty Settings : Yes * Construction * Base : New from scratch Build Time : Five months, plus forgetting about it for nearly twenty years, plus a few weekend to fix bugs and bring it to the 21st century.
