This is my third release. ;) The series is called Blind Alley and will be about eight to ten levels. They will all be released as singles and then combined once the series is finished. My original design as map 22, now running on level 1. The opening sequence was inspired by Doom 2 level 22, probably my favorite level. The similarity ends there. Don't look for a theme on this one, I don't know if there is one. I am pretty sure this place only exists in my mind. Artistic license used freely. ;) A nice medium sized map with real decent attention to detail. You will never have for hunt for ammo in here. That is the least of your problems. There is enough health and ammo that you can push as hard as you want for time, or just lay back and snipe at the monsters. Nice to have the option isn't it? I would love to see any lmp's done for the level. Feedback greatly appreciated. I have been mapping for about five years. This is the third of my levels that I feel is OK for release. It is a very fun map. Detail is just enough to be nice, but the concentration here is on gameplay. Some good old fashioned run and gun in here. Stay awake however, or you could get very dead. A Legacy version 1.40 LMP is included in the zip file. File name: BAMnm.lmp, The demo is a no monster walk through, showing the layout and the secrets. Use the demo if you get lost. Use the following to play the demo. c:\doom2\legacy.exe doom2.wad -file bndalym.wad -playdemo bamnm This assumes your doom2 folder is on your c: drive, and that you have the excellent, free, Legacy port. Or you can run it from the Legacy Launcher. ===== Special thanks to my friend Rich Sham for providing a great Legacy version 1.40 max demo of this map. To play his demo use the following: c:\doom2\legacy.exe doom2.wad -file bndalym.wad -playdemo rs-balym See a second demo at the Doomworld Speed Demo Archives ===== Look for possible demos of this map at the following site: Doomworld Speed Demo Archives. http://www.doomworld.com/sda/doom_sda.htm What are you waiting for?
