================================================================ Title : Undetermined, working title Centromere Filename : cent092b.wad Version : 0.92 Date : 02.08.97 Author : Philip Ward Email Address : sci-pgw@jcu.edu.au Misc. Author Info : Someone who enjoys Hexen editing too much. Level Info : Currently in this beta release there is the hub level, a town called Centromere. Off this level is The Ambush Point, The Magma Pass, The Great South Road and The Abandoned Mines. The secret level is also included. When completed this will hopefully have a total of 12 levels assuming that Hexen will allow 12 levels in one cluster. (something I must investigate very soon) The reason for this beta is that Hexen 2 is coming soon and I don't think many people would look at this after Hexen 2's release. Additional Credits to : Id Software and Raven Software The author(s) of Heth. The author(s) of DCK. The author(s) of The Hexen Specs. Chris, Nick, Kerri and Christine for contributing little hints and helpful(?) suggestions here and there. Robin Davis for testing version 0.90 ================================================================ * Play Information * Level # : Hexen : Levels 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 10. Single Player : Yes. Cooperative 2-4 Player : Yes. Deathmatch 2-4 Player : The secret level (10) has support for deathmatch. Other levels are not deathmatch supported. If I had more time I would put in the scripting for the other levels too. Who knows, maybe I'll convert it to Hexen 2 in the future. Difficulty Settings : No. New Sounds : No. New Graphics : No. Demos Replaced : No. * Construction * Base : New level from scratch Build Time : Ack! Yonks. Editor(s) used : Heth, DCK Known Bugs : ok, here we go.... 1. An incorrect wall texture on The Great South Road. 2. Texture alligning is not complete on some.. err most levels. 3. Pickup messages for 3 of the planet gems are displayed to all players in multi player games. 4. Deathmatch does not work well in any of the levels apart from the secret level (Level 10). 5. Every now and then the death wyvern on The Ambush Point decides that a wall is a much more appealing target than the next map spot. I have only noticed this in multi player co-op only. 6. For some reason that is completely beyond me, in multi player co-op when you pick up one piece of Quietus, Wraithverge or Bloodscourge you get the entire weapon assembled. Hints on this anyone???? 7. If you manage to find Yorick's Skull without cheats, well done however the scripting for returning it to Yorick is not complete. 8. It says ethereal travel when all you are doing is walking out a gate. This one I can't fix, live with it. Using cheats in this is not reccommended as some scripts are tied to picking up items, keys etc or to monsters. Scripts tied to monsters are not executed if you BUTCHER them. I am in the process of completing this hub now. I would welcome any email with comments, bugs or criticism (preferably constructive). If you would like a copy of the level sent to you when it is completed, mail me a request and I will add you to the list. ================================================================ * Copyright / Permissions * This is my uncompleted work intended for private use only.
