Lmp Title :Super Granmaster volume 1 Filename :supergm1.zip Lmp Version :Ultimate Doom ver 1.9 Game :Doom Pwad(s) :none Map levels :E1M1-E1M9 Skill :4 Options :-fast Number of Players :1 Length :See description Author :Terry "T-man" Dunphy Email address :tdunphy@voyager.newcomm.net Misc. author info :Doom nut- that just about sums it up, I live in Newfoundland Canada and I play doom an awful lot I am recording these lmp's in preperation for my challenges, I already own a doom 1 Incubus and a doom 1 Grand master, if you don't know what I mean see the doom honoriffic titles home page. Description :I decided to do all the levels Grand Master Style, this means: starting from scratch, finish a stage on Ultra-violence, with 100% kills while using the fast parameter. In this package there is the first episode, I will do the other two episodes at a later date, to include all of the lmp's in one .zip would make it too large. The other group of lmp's will have the filename Supergm2.zip and Supergm3.zip, if I decide to do the 4th episode it will be named supergm4.zip.Here is my evaluation of all of the levels ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- E1M1: ---- There is not much you can say about this stage, it is so easy that it really doesn't matter what you put in the comments. I just did it as quick as I could to shorten the lmp size. Kills: 100% Items: (not sure) Secret: 66% Time taken- 1:28 min Par time- 30 sec ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- E1M2: ---- This one was also very easy but this one is boring because of the maze like part. I had to rerecord this a couple of times because I would leave an enemy in that maze but I got it finished on my 3rd try. Kills: 100% Items: 52% Secret: 83% Time taken- 4:35 min Par time- 1:15 min ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- E1M3: ---- When I looked at the bases for the DHT's this is rated as a hard, I don't think this is the case, it was fun to record but it is by no means hard. I finished it on my 2nd recording, that is only because in my first one I left out the enemies behind the yellow door. I did get reduced to low health in this but I found it fairly easy. When I make my superin1.zip,(this will be all the levels incubus style), I won't stop until I finish this one. Kills: 100% Items: 74% Secret: 85% Time taken- 7:49 min Par time- 2:00 min ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- E1M4: ---- This level was pretty fun to record,(what I mean by fun is that it wasn't a complete bore to record like E1M2, even though E1M2 is considerably shorter) and it wasn't very hard. I can't beleive that most of Episode 1 is in the hard set, most of the levels that are in the hard set, aren't hard. I don't think that this level is in the hard set but it is easy anyway. Kills: 100% Items: 93% Secret: 100% Time taken- 6:43 min Par time- 1:30 min ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- E1M5: ---- I have already completed my doom 1 Grand Master Exam, and I had to do this particular stage for it, I thought that I would use the one included in my grand master here, I did this because I didn't think I could do it any better anyway, so don't wonder why there is an authentication dance in it, this stage was not easy but it wasn't bad. Kills: 100% Items: 79% Secret: 77% Time taken- 11:24 min Par 2:45 min ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- E1M6: ---- I did this stage for my incubus exam so I had the layout down really well, (I had to retry my incubus a million times, so I was forced to know the stage inside and out). It wasn't very hard, one note at the part where there is the 30 second timer door, It looked like I was clicking on walls trying to get the door open, but I knew about the timer I was just clicking for no apparent reason. I am saying this so I don't look like an idiot when you watch the lmp's Kills: 100% Items: 74% Secret: 100% Time taken- 12:49 min Par 3:00 min ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- E1M7: ---- I found this one a bit challenging at first but soon I remember the layout,(I have only been playing doom and doom][ for 6 months, sometimes I forget the layout) and I was on my way. One funny thing to look for, at one point I had 197% health and I stupidly walked into a demon and was reduced to 97%! I think I had high armour too. Kills: 100% Items: 82% Secret: 77% Time taken- 10:52 min Par- 3:00 min ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- E1M8: ---- Not too hard, this is one of my most amazing recovery lmp's I have ever recorded, I was trapped by demons with very low health and a pistol, I know it was just luck that I got away but it is really cool to watch. I can do this stage much better(I finished it on nightmare without taking a hit, if you are interested in seeing this just e-mail me)but I thought this would be cooler to watch, of course I didn't get 100% kills because of the ending room, but I killed all of the regular enemies. Kills: 100% (except for last room) Items: undefined Secret: undefined Time taken-2:00 min (approx) Par- undefined ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- E1M9: ---- This stage wasn't too bad, I pretty much zipped through it, although I tried to jump across all the platforms at the end but for some reason I couldn't do it, I tried it 3 times in the lmp and only got as far as the 2nd one. I usually don't have much problems with the jumps, Oh well. Kills: 100% Items: 74% Secret: 100% Time taken- 8:59 min Par- 2:45 min ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Overall comments: These bunch of lmp's are for the aspiring Grand Master left, there is only one out of base level availble, or is it two? If you apply and get any of these stages just look over these lmp's for help. I may bump into walls a couple of times and it might look stupid but I am probably in my map screen, and obvious example of this is in E1M6-gm.lmp. I also might appear as if I am using a keyboard at the beginning of some lmp's I am sure that at the beginning of at least one I was screwing around and I used the keyboard but I quickly changed to the mouse. Keep watching for my Episodes 2 3 and 4 set of grand master lmp's. From, Terry "T-man" Dunphy
