This zip file should consist of 3 files: readme.txt this file walk1.dem a walkthrough of the starting stage - this stage is almost identical to the Hexen 2 demo walk2.dem a walkthrough of the rest of the first (medieval) hub Instructions: Extract these files into your hexen2/data1 subdirectory. To view them, hit ~ to bring down the console, and type this at the prompt to view the first part of the walkthrough: timedemo walk1 Similarly, to view the second part of the walkthrough, type this at the prompt: timedemo walk2 (NOTE: hitting ~ while the console is down removes it) Notarget and godmode were used for the walkthrough. Possible discrepancies: 1) I believe the mill key appears next to the West Tower (instead of through the portal within the West Tower) on easier difficulties) 2) The treasury key can appear in other locations, including Anton's grave, which is in the Inner Courtyard, and one other location. (I can't remember this one; it was mentioned on the messageboard at either www.hexenworld.com or www.hexen2.com) Verbal description of walkthrough: Get the bones of Loric and the mill key. Open the mill door with the mill key, then grind the bones into dust. Use the dust of Loric to make a potion of mithril transmutation. Get the shovel. Read notes to direct you to the treasury key; dig for it using the shovel. Get the tailor's key from the forgotten chapel. Use the tailor's key to open the tailor's closet and get the disrupt magic scroll. Use the disrupt magic scroll to destroy the magical barrier in front of the palace entrance. Use the treasury key to open the treasury door and get the amulet of hunger. Use the amulet of hunger to enter the altar of hunger. Stand at the altar of hunger to be directed to the fireplace by the forge, and to trigger the appearance of a button with a rune on it next to this fireplace. Hit the button next to the fireplace to make it swing open, and get the stable key. Use the stable key to open the stable door and get the sand. Bring the sand to the forge to melt it into a bead of glass. Bring the bead of glass to the grindstone to craft a lens of seeing. Use the lens of seeing to see through the fake wall (Inner Courtyard) and take the teleporter. Walk through the crystal arch to gain the power to kill the crystal golem.
