=========================================================================== 17/3/98 =========================================================================== Title : First Offensive Filename : foff.bsp Author : Dirk Diggler (no, not my real name, go see BoogieNights) Email Address : DD@elite.dircon.co.uk Map description : My first finished attempt at a playable Quake2 Map. Play Information : After the destruction of the big gun and the elimination of their boss, the few remaining Strogg fled to a distant moon to regroup and recover. Intelligence has tracked down the new homeland and it is up to you to stop them before they can mount a fresh attack. The base is still under construction, and they are still in the process of terraforming the hostile environment. Your tasks will be to: 1. Drain the underground water reserves. 2. Shut down the life support systems. 3. Turn off the atmosphere generator. 4. Escape.... Good Luck Soldier, yer gonna' need it! How to play : Place foff.bsp in your Quake2/baseq2/maps directory (make one if you dont have one). Start Quake2, bring up the console (`) and enter "map foff". Other maps by me : Nothing anyones seen (or would want to) Additional Credits : id Software for Quake2 Robert Duffy (and id again) for QERadiant (the BEST map editor, bar none!) Should still be fun though, just remeber to save every now and then :) I learnt a lot while makin this map, and my next should be a whole lot better. Comments welcomed to: DD@elite.dircon.co.uk.
