================================================================== Title: The Dent Date: September 27, 1998 Filename: bugdm6.bsp Author: Jason Jeannette call me Bugman E-mail: itsallplaydoh@hotmail.com (yes, it's all playdoh) Homepage: http://www.angelfire.com/mi/warcrime/main.html Description: medium-large-sized deathmatch map 3-10 players, 8 respawn points ================================================================== *Play Information* Single Player: pretty boring Deathmatch: kinda the point of a deathmatch map Co-operative: go ahead *Construction* Base: new map Editor used: Qoole 2.50 (registered) Known bugs: Qoole messed up the alignment of the borders on the outdoor stairs even after I opened the.map and realigned them. Build time: 3 weeks Textures used: Base Compiling machine: Dell xps 266 w/ 64 megs of ram QBSP3: 35 QVIS3: 8,137 QRAD3: 971 Brushes: 1361 Entities: 116 *Other Info* My first real work with the base texture set. I've messed with it before, but this is the first map completed with it. I was afraid much of the map would be too dark, but after showing it to ProdigyXL, I was assured that it was not too dark, but just right and produced a very creepy atmosphere. After looking at it after a full compile, I must say that I agree that it is pretty spooky looking. I like darkness in a map, but if it's done right, and I think mine is pretty good. Before the lighting, the indoor areas looked very bland but now, after it, they look much better and have a nice feel to them. If you downloaded this map, then thank you very much. If you want to try it against me, then go on Kali sometime and go to server 636, I am almost always there. I found out how to run OpenGL without a 3d graphics card, so now I know what the colored lights look like and I was able to make them fairly close to how I wanted them to appear. *Copyright Gibberish* Um, don't copy this map (blah blah blah). Dont not put it on cd for public release without asking me first (blah blah blah). The .map file is enclosed so you can see how I made it, ok? *Thanks* Thanks go to id as always, to ProdigyXL for helping me test and giving me some competion and ideas, the rest of Clan DPC, to RUST, and to the people that download this map. Thank you all and happy fragging.
