Eman a Quake Editor last update 12/26/97 * added the ability to save brushes as .emp files to import to maps just select all the brushes then choose save object from the file menu.import centers the object at the current view point * added the ability to change textures(must be a valid name eman doesn't check) * saved texture offsets rotation and scale, even though you can not change these values with eman it will keep it from ruining work done with other editors * will no longer crash on brushes with greater than 16 surfaces although it still will crash with more than sixteen points in a surface * tried to fix collapsing brushes while dragging a surface (works in many cases) I claim absolutely NO responsibility for the damage this utility may do to your computer. It reads big files kinda slow so be patient. I have never run this on another computer. I know it runs on a p133 w/32 MB but I couldn't tell you how it will perform with less memory. It runs on win95, it should also run on NT in theory but I wouldn't know. I doubt it will get much use considering the other options. This utility is kinda cheesy but it lets you load map files and edit them using a few simple methods. You can insert and delete brushes/rooms, subtract brushes, rotate brushes, split brushes by a plane, change brushes to entities, and drag surfaces parallel to their normal... I think that is it. Here is a list of commands. file menu save object saves selected brushes in a *.emp file (basically brushes) insert object loads an *.emp file centered at the view point up/down arrows, page up/down change view point left/right arrows, home, end,<,> rotate view point 1 selects a brush ` splits selected brush by hilight surface plane TAB subtracts hilighted surface from selected surface e edits current entity or brush delete delete hilighted entity or brush insert inserts a brush back space changes hilighted brush to an entity SPACE opens selection window double click sets view point click drag sets view area (must select after opening window) left mouse button no DIR buttons pushed drags surfaceparallel to normal with dir button rotates brush around selected axis right mouse button drags brush or entity along select axis I am still working on this editor and if you want to send me suggestions you can email me at: jlhobbs@ma.ultranet.com all programming done by Eric Hobbs this is my first atempt at windows programming so be nice All that I ask is that no one tries to sell this utility, its freeware, and if you redistribute include this file.
