Help Playing Music on DirectQ

I have been unable to run any external music with DirectQ, I am using a GOG version and I have set up the music folder at /id1/Music/ to play MP3 files, but they never come up or load. Looking at the console, I noticed that the console command to run external music "bgm_extmusic" is not recognized by the engine. Does anyone have an idea as to how to fix this?

For the sake of completeness, I previously installed Quakespasm on my Quake installation, but I tried doing a verify/repair operation using GOG Galaxy in case the DLL replacement might have been the culprit, but no dice.

EDIT: Okay I realized what it is, it plays the MP3s just fine, it just starts at e1m3 instead of e1m1 as I remembered.
