Quake 64 reverse-engineering for source ports?

DOOM 64 has Doom64 EX.
Duke Nukem 64 now has Rednukem.
Is it possible to reverse-engineer Quake 64 for source ports to run natively? Some people may argue that it's simpler just to download a mod. Well, problem is, the download links of the Quake 64 Ultra mod are all dead, and no one has any backups of it.

I was under the impression that quake 64 was nothing more than a port? did it run different under the hood or did it have new content?

It has some new textures, lots of downscaled textures, reduced level geometry, missing levels, a new soundtrack, neon color lights and what not.

How funny! I've actually started to work on a Quake 64 PC port very recently. I'm currently working on The Slipgate Complex. When I finish it (at least The Slipgate Complex), I'll release it.
