Caelestis Tumultus

Large Wizard? map with a strange theme and some neat gameplay twists. OK.

Kind of cool, totally otherworldly feel - quakey experimental, with a big "eh?". I somehow expected the map to be older. Well worth checking out.

Played this one a couple of times through the other day, and actually quite enjoyed it. Different to most, the first half is more puzzle-based, and the second half's a bit more oldschool Quake (considering the release date). Alot of atmosphere and good fun, took me about 20 mins on the first playthrough, iirc. Not the absolute best map I've played, but definately one I'd recommend.

As Negke said, this doesn't look like a 2004 map, rather 1996-97. Blocky, simple design and quite bland combat. Its saving grace is the puzzles, though there's not much challenge in them either. This map could use an extended remix.
