fun test-maps
A nice start to mapping!
I kind of liked Claustrophobica, with its very linear opening up of passageways to increasingly powerful enemies. It won't win any awards, but it's a fun blast.
FlatMap is OK, too, in its uncomplicated way. Massively overprovisioned with ammo, though, and this time the arbitrariness of progression doesn't feel quite so much like a game.
And finally, A place of many doors feels very much like more of the same. Diminishing returns sets in, as the hit-button/open-door/shoot-monsters cycle repeats.
It's great that Ondrejoda is churning out maps so quicky, but it's really time to step up: he or she needs to get beyond the bland, blocky architecture, the llat, bright lighting, and the repetitive gameplay. The basic skills are obviously there — time to put them to work!
