i'm impressed for 1997. however, the secret map progression seemed backwards? wrong? something. i got the pentagram of protection after all the monsters were dead.

It's an alright map pack. The new levels are fun enough, and the new monsters have been used pretty competently.

I quite liked the dragon monster and would like to see it used in more levels. The raptors, on the other hand, are pretty much just reskinned fiends and don't fill any new niche in the monster roster.

The secret level is quite a bit blockier than the regular levels, and I couldn't figure out a way to get out from the gold key besides rocket jumping.

Note, that after you finish the final level (Nostalgia), you're directed to the author's previous maps Slime Ground, Altar of Pain and Spawn City + Water World. (Maybe that's the reason the map's called Nostalgia, because it takes the player back to the old levels, dunno.) I don't really recommend playing through them, since they don't seem to have been updated for this particular pack.

Overall, I think I'd rate the pack around 3+.
