First type rune-cheats from server console. Then, as a player, type impulse 101-158. For example, impulse 101 gives you strength rune, impulse 102 gives you regeneration, and so on.

owch! double post like a n00b! (though i am to runequake forums, i have a phpbb of my own :P )

ummm, i must be retarded right now, is this what you do:

1. start quake3 (runequake)

2. press "~"

3. type "/devmap q3dm7" to load temple of retrebution

4. press "~" again

5. type "/rune-cheats" and press enter

6. default is "t", but then say, as a player, "impulse 101" and it will give me the strength rune?

I would imagine obtaining runes works much the same way as obtaining the default weapons. Press the tilde key (~) and in the console simply type "impulse x", where "x" is the desired value.

It sounds as though you're talking about Rune Quake for Quake 3. The first thing you must do is enable rune cheats. Type this on the server console,

g_AllowRuneCheats 1

Now, as a player, you can give yourself any rune (so long as it's not in the banned list) by typing

/rune give [SHORT RUNE NAME]

The list of short rune names is as follows,
Quote:
antigrav
armor
arsenal
athletics
berserk
blink
boxer
charm
cloaking
death
disarm
divine
dual
emp
enviro
exclusion
fire
flash
flight
force
gravity
haste
health
helper
holo
ice
impact
jumping
lightning
luck
medic
necromancy
negation
orb
overkill
packrat
phase
phoenix
piercing
plague
quad
radio
recall
reflection
regen
repulsion
resistance
preservation
shield
sprint
strength
switch
teleport
tranference
jumping
vamp
vengeance
weird

Hope this helps,
