Hello, i'm trying to set up a runequake server from my home connection, but I seem to be having trouble connecting through the dns that I got from dyndns.org. But can connect through my internal ip address. I even tried port forwarding, but I doesn't want to work. I have verizon fios if that helps.

Forward all UDP ports to the appropriate local ip address on your router.

Did you forward every single UDP port or just 26000? You have to forward ALL of them. Quake doesn't use a single port.

Another alternative you could try is setting the DMZ Host to the IP address of the quake server. This should force all incoming packets, except those specifically configured, to that one IP.

I have tried that, it goes to the connection accepted, then times out after 10 seconds, but doesn't get to the game.

I finally got it to Work, and I just added it to the server list.

All i needed to do is change routers.
