"The setting is a Strogg Incarceration Vessel. You must escape from the brig and find a way to destroy the ship. If you fail countless marines will meet their fate within it's sinister chambers. Your life is NOT important. You must succeed at ALL costs."~Greg Barr

"Incarceration" returns to a favorite theme. Standing on the shoulders of its predecessors such as the ground breaking Quake I epic "Starship" by Neil Manke, "Incarceration" returns you as a prisoner aboard an alien space craft.

This Quake II look at escape in space is a beautifully constructed level. Architecture and texture detail are convincing creating a structurally sound environment. While the ship in "Starship" was modern in design, this ship is a hulking, industrial, behemoth. Included are a large chain hoist in a deep set docking bay, a large heavy metal lift, a massive security field generator, and a cavernous area housing the reactor.

Gameplay is exciting with plenty of challenges. There are a couple of subtle areas that will require your attention. If you find yourself at a loss as to what to do next, check your field computer (F1) and do (or look for) exactly what it says.

"Incarceration" like "Starship" also offers some breathtaking views. It can be difficult at times to concentrate on the task at hand. More than once I quickly dispatched the enemy so that I could take in the view.

So dust off that space suit and disable that Star... er, disable that Strogg ship post haste.

Okay, locked in but I was able to smuggle in this trusty blaster. A few well placed shots and I'm outta' here.

These guys are gonna have more to do than hang around lookin' out a window.

Breathtaking vistas. Careful, cause in space everybody can see you fall.
