"You've made your way from a remote LZ and find yourself staring at a small maintenance hatch outside the menacing Strogg temple... you can already hear the mindless drones heavy breathing as you grab your machinegun, take a deep breath, and wade into battle... the BloodShrine awaits."~James Parkman

James Parkman has now begun to mine what was exclusive Yooshin Yang territory....numerous high quality maps in record time.

The Bloodshrine is a very interesting map. On first glance you will notice that this looks very familiar. At least for those faithful who have visited Quake1 before. Seemingly lifted right from our beloved Quake1 are some very familiar textures. Crosses, lights, rivets, mmmm, it's Quake1 heaven. But you have never seen these textures so clearly before. It is as if from within Quake1 you viewed through a glass darkly, but now your eyes can truly see.

And there is so much to see. Enjoy the hulking architecture, the minions who will provide you with a tough combat challenge as they do their best to convert you to their own particular brand of quakery religion. Marvel at the beautiful and wondrous Psionic Nullification device. And finally meet the seemingly unbeatable Strogg Warlord who resides over the Bloodshrine. And then try and kill him. Who could ask for anything more?

Well, you could! You could ask for more, more, more!

Classic Quake textures, great Quake2 gameplay.
Not your usual install, may be a source of trouble for the uninitiated.
Great blend of the familiar in a totally new setting. High awe factor...instant classic!

Enter The Bloodshrine...solid, weighty and yet graceful architecture. Absolutely splendid.

A few of the faithful wait to make a believer out of you....step right this way.

A rather scantily clad Bloodshrine devotee worships the Psionic Nullification device.
