"Mission - Search for your missing comrades and kick some ass along the way." ~Marty Howe

"Final Drill" is what appears to be Marty's final Quake2 map before he moves to Finland to begin work with Remedy Entertainment. Ok, so he admits he knocked this last map off in a hurry (4 days), but is it presentable as a final epitaph to a very solid and entertaining series of Quake1 and 2 maps?

Your task is the basic kill all and get out, (you didn't really expect to find your comrades alive did you?). Along the way you will be treated to some very high quality level design. One thing that is always true for Marty's maps is the solid craftsmanship that he is able to pull off. His maps are always constructed in a very sound and believable manner. The main drill area (pictured top right) is representative of the kind of massive feel Marty can bring to a map.

Enemy placement is good, although you may want to play this one on a more difficult setting than you may be used to in order to fully appreciate the combat challenge.

Gameplay moves quickly and offers a few puzzles along the way, but nothing that will leave you feeling stumped.

Yes, Final Drill is a solid capstone to a very entertaining series of Quake1 and 2 maps! Perhaps he may find time for another? Lets hope so. Thanks Marty!

Solid construction with a very professional feel.
Marty's last Quake map. Yipes! Say it aint so.
Fun, quick romp through a finely crafted setting.

Guarding the large Strogg drill is deadly work, as this poor chap is about to find out.

Whoops, wrong turn!
A dash of color to enjoy before the giblets start flying.
