| After a few horrid deathmatch constructs, Vigil of the Night was my first level that felt truly finished. After over a year of various attempts and tries I finally felt confident enough to tackle a true, full single player level. The level definitely is dated, something I won't deny, but there are few minor touches and details that still manage to hold interest. Fittingly for Quake, it's in mostly brown brick, and is highly influenced by certain deathmatch of the era. |
