Archived Quake TF Sites

  • Cisco's Place
Cisco's Place is the home for elderly tf/c players of our community. In its heyday Clan PlanetFortress members, [CPF]Cisco, [CPF]ManGoBoom, [CPF]Sheepman, and [CPF]Saxon delivered news, Real Audio shows, and short stories about TF. Cisco's Place, home of the mascot "Bones," is a great site that took the action off of the battle field and took it to the webpage If you are looking for a great TF saga to read, check out Saxon's Defenders series, satisfaction guaranteed.

  • The Citadel
The Citadel: One of the very first engineer strategy pages created by Moriarty (pronounced "Orry-orry-arty-may"), with the addition of Fluffy and Mythias, the page was turned into a news/comic page. I honestly can't say enough about Moriarty who was my mentor, my teammate, and my friend. Moriarty drifted away from the TF scene two years after the creation of The Citadel when he entered college. During one cold January night, Moriarty made a short return to say hello, then silently drifted away into the fog of the Citadel. Like Cisco's Place, Moriarty also had a Library which holds the very first TF Patrol. TF Patrol was written by the TF hero Bundy. If you are looking for classic TF history, this place is definitely the place to go.

  • TF Done Easy
TF Done Easy is a site to help the general player get into TeamFortress. A standard guide for most TF sites at the beginning, because that was the largest challenge of TeamFortress, simply learning all you needed to know to be a formidable player (it was quite a lot of information and bindings). A major highlight of TF Done Easy was the hosting of Cool Crap TF Products Model's/Skins/Sounds done up by Dox who single handedly gave TF a sharp new look.

  • TF Junction
    >J was the TPF of the QWTF days. They played by the Bundy Code of Honor and helped newbies learn the game.

  • Sgt. Coolguy
CPF member, Sgt CoolGuy, is another famous mapper that created 2sarge4, at his site Sgt. CoolGuy's Detail Duty you can find basic TF info including, but not limited to maps, classes, strategies, files, FAQ's, etc.

  • Team Fortress Syndicate
The TeamFortress Syndicate was another News/Humor page ran by MwhahahA and HME. One of the highlights of the site was when they declared war on CFTF. The war came to an end on 3/27/99 being unresolved, perhaps due to a nuclear explosion.

  • School of Team Fortress
School of TeamFortress was created by TF Junction (Junction was like TPF). Here players could be taught by vets of TF. I spent a semester or two teaching the fine art of Engineering to a hundred or so players. Being a teacher I learned that the student is the #1 priority and that you need a lot of times on your hands. For lessons, I used to spend an hour writing text for irc, then 2 hours writing up scripts for the game. It took a lot of time and sucked a lot of energy out of me, but the reward of teaching sportsmanship, team play, and honor. It will always be priceless.

  • Rantomatic
The Hal's (Co-Founder and former Site Director of PlanetFortress) page of rants that started as simple paragraphs to start of the day, but became huge articles that sometime touched on life, sometimes TF, and sometimes apparently nothing at all. They are a great read if you have the time.

Archived Half-Life TFC Sites

  • TF Clans and Want Ads
A testament of how integral clans are a part of Team Fortress. While this site itself never prospered, many like it have come before and after to help connect players with clans. (After playing in one and stopping myself for a year, then casually playing a game with a clan for fun again, there simply is nothing like it)

  • TF Funnies
A site dedicated to make you laugh till it hurts. Although no longer updated the site has been archived for enjoyment of others. Here you can find a variety of pictures, wallpapers, jokes and comics that will leave you rolling on the floor.

  • The Resupply Station
A site for the well spoken 357mag, it didn't last terribly long, but it's another piece of TF History now. A good article is the TF Etiquette Guide definitely a well spent read (and suggested).

  • TF CNN
A clan news site set up by Spudboy, a member of KIN (KIN was a top TF Clan and was #1 in all standings for TFC when they retired) many members helped operate the site (other predominate claners as well: Mr. PotatoHead for instance) In early 2000 the site dwindled down. Since then The Catacombs has stepped up and is the #1 clan news coverage site.

  • Hal's Rantomatic
The Hal's (Co-Founder and former Site Director of PlanetFortress) page of rants that started as simple paragraphs to start of the day, but became huge articles that sometime touched on life, sometimes TF, and sometimes apparently nothing at all. They are a great read if you have the time.
