I just dropped by Scatterblak.com and took note
of one of the headings for an update. Check last updates, little phrase, then hop over there
and see if you can find the matching idea. On the same note, I just watched
Chasing Amy last
night. Another good movie from the same writer and director, I believe. So I've seen
Clerks,
Chasing Amy,
Mallrats, and now I just need to see Dogma to finish that
uhm... quadilogy(?) Also, those of
you who had to sit through Scream 3 will have noticed that Jay and Silent Bob have a cameo as
tourists at the set of Stab 3.
Ramblin' Man I really don't have much news other than the stuff thats days or weeks old, so instead I'm going to win you over with my wit and charm by talking about various non-essentials. I just checked out a bunch of new bands, and I gotta say I'm starting to like Morphine, even though the band leader has died, and they're no longer a band. In a totally non-related issue, I'm almost done with my second trimester here. Yes I'm pregnant. It must have been one of the prison guards during the strip searches who did it... No, you fool! My college, RIT (and I say "my college" because I actually built the entire thing by hand) runs on a trimester system instead of semesters. So anyways, Finals are coming, but I'll have more free time, so I might not neglect this site as much as I have been. Then, of course, I might just waste my free time playing The Sims instead. By the way, that game is really cool, but I suggest starting off as a bachelor, not with the couple or the family. It takes a while just to be able to manage a single person let alone a bunch of them. They're needy little bastards. |

I've decided yet again to update the page. I have no clue how I got up to like 28 hits here, because all of
3 people know that I've been updating. Maybe I've been sleepwalking and loading up my site at the wee hours
of the morn. Also, if anyone has been longing to become a good samaritan, here's your chance. Muse - Showbiz
is on sale under the support my CD addiction link. Only $8.38 folks! So ya know, if you a good $10 burning a
hole in your pocket, you could just buy that one for me there....
Team Assault It came to my attanetion that their is a second group making a TF mod for Q3A, called Team Assault. The map screenshots are rather impressive. I hope that CZ turns out true to the original. On another note, somebody code Q3A support for Quark, please. I wanna try my hand at Q3A mapping. Movies I managed to finally see all of Clerks yesterday. Rather funny movie. I didn't really dig the whole black and white deal there, there wasn't much need for it as far as I could tell. So now I've seen Mallrats and Clerks. I'm going to have to see Dogma too, to carry on the tradition. Check this one out if you're not easily offended and have no one like that in the crowd within earshot. Music More CD's(!):

Breaking News! I just reached a milestone folks. Xtreme just sent me the screenshot of my 10th hit! ![]() Another update within the same month, there's obviously something afoot in the world. Q3Fortress I received an email from the Q3Fortress team a little bit ago (surprisingly they sent me TF news, when all else had given up on me!), and I zipeed on by their site for a perusal. Their screenshots have me a tad bit excited here. I must say that TF would look quite nice in the Q3A engine. Anyways, I received word from them again, and they have some screenshots of map cconversions that are in progress. So hurry on up and beam yourself over to their site. Movies I went to see the new flick Down to You, (with a female, of course). Typical chick flick meant for teens. Sadly there was no nudity, beheadings or bending of spoons with the mind. One of the lead's friends was a porn star, though, so I suppose that redeemed the movie somewhat. My final analysis: feign illness when your beloved asks you to see it with her. Music I just checked out these CD's:

Much to your dismay I haven't kicked the bucket, I just kind of got
lost in *gasp* Real Life. There will be a few changes around here. They
are as follows:
Quake3Arena: Why it rocks my world. I've tried Unreal Tournament, I've tried Quake3Arena. In my estimation Q3A kicks UT's ass because I'm more of a DM purist. The "Damage Amplifier" just doesn't get my juices flowin' like a good ole' Quad damage. Not to mention gravity changes are a neat novelty, but annoy the shit outta me once I've been floating over the same 4 buildings for, oh say... the thousandth time. Plus Q3A's textures are just so damned sexy. C'mon now, we all know you guys drool over the new graphic enhancements of the engine, and rightfully so. I will say this about Q3A, though, the BFG10K seems oddly out of place. Music I highly reccomend the folowing CD's:
On another note, I'm happy MTV is at least dedicating a half hour to
the "Return of Rock." Finally we get to see some cool rock tunes on MTV.
I'm really diggin' Powerman 5K - Nobody's Real, Incubus - Pardon Me, and
Static-X. I got to see Chevelle, Dope, Static-X and Sevendust at a club
here a few weeks ago. Unfortunately, Chevelle started early and I only
heard their last song (!^&*\#%). Dope blows my left nut. Static-X was
incredible, if you see them make sure you're rather large and physically
fit or you're gonna get trounced, and Sevendust was good considering I
really didn't like the band before that night and I managed to listen to
their stuff without getting a migraine.
Other Stuff Uhm...I got a laser tag set for Christmas which I am dying to use. Yes I'm 18, and yes I still like kiddie toys. I'm not too ashamed to admit it. I saw Toy Story 2 and Man on the Moon recently. Toy Story 2 was better
than the first and I'm gonna have to buy the tape when they release it.
Man on the Moon was good, but then I idolize Andy Kaufman so you normal
people may not like it.
And that concludes today's ramblings. Tune in next bat week, same bat time same bat channel. |
