Hal's Rant-O-Matic©...It's true!
Our oven is broken. The temperature knob is stuck at 425 degrees. That is the last temperature it was set on. It also happens to be the temperature that almost all frozen foods are cooked at. So now my wife says that is all we can have for dinner. I almost said that that is all we have anyway, but thought better of it.
I happened to mention to my boss the other day that my Daughter was getting married. He said his Daughter was getting married as well, and he figured if he sold his truck, he would be able to pay for it. He can probably get around $15,000 for his truck. After he left, I got to thinking it wasn't such a bad idea. I could probably sell my van to help pay for my daughters wedding cake.
We were doing some mail swapping on the PlanetFortress Administration list and the subject of age came up. While I won't go into details, I will say that four of the senior members ages here at PF probably add up to more than the total combined ages of most clans. Scary hu? They do say life begins at forty don't they?
I saw my son the other day! This may not seem like such and unusual event, other than the fact that I hadn't seen him for three or four weeks. And he lives here in the same house. Actually his bedroom door is right across from ours. I wasn't sure who it was at first, because he was wearing some new cloths he bought last year, and I hadn't seen him with them on yet. I hear noises coming from his bedroom once in a while. If it is quiet in there, then he is winning.
Most of the things I write about here are true you know. I may bend facts a little at times, but generally speaking, I get my material from actual events that take place. Like a year or so ago, when I mentioned to my wife what a great idea it would be to get a generator for when we loose power from the winter storms. (I'm sure I mentioned this in a rant once...) I told her it would be best if we plugged in the computers first and foremost, because we could also use the monitors for giving off light! Multi tasking at it's best! And I also mentioned that a 19 inch or even better, a 21 inch monitor would be the best for me to have for that purpose! I thought I had her convinced until she mentioned that it would probably be best if we plugged in her moms oxygen generator and the well pump first.... Doh! Everyone has their own priorities I guess....
