Hal's Rant-O-Matic©...It's true!
This is not TF related. The "Hal's Rant-O-Matic©..." rarely is in case you are wondering. They are mostly the meandering of a fragmented mind, the wandering thoughts of a confused individual who doesn't have any idea what to spend his time on. Not that I have a lot of time. You can't really posess time after all. You simply have to make the best use of it. It gives you the illusion of either having a lot of it, or always running out of it. But there never seems to be enough to go around. So if you have time, read the rant, and if you don't, then don't.
Is there anything to be gained by laying blame or fault on things that happen? Like this for example: Who's fault is it that I am wasting your time with this pointless rant? Is it my fault for writing it in the first place, or your fault for taking the time to read it. And all that even having been forewarned that it was not TF related, which I assume is the reason you visit PlanetFortress in the first place. Or is it my sons fault for getting me involved in TF to begin with? Or is it you, the readers fault, because the news is slow so I had to do a filler??? See what I mean.
I could go on and on. I usually do as a matter of fact, and rather than break that habit, I think I must go on. Yes, I must! I rarely take the blame for mishaps. I have tried to talk myself into it before, but to no avail. All I end up doing is finding more and more reasons why things went south, and other people to blame. Not very generous of me now is it? It's not my fault you know. It's my inability to accept the fact that I might have screwed up. I don't make any excuse for this, I search for explanations. Futile as it may sound, you might be surprised with what you can come up with. And no matter how lame your explanation might seem, it at least has the desired effect of making you feel better.
So, back to the reason why you are even bothering to read this..... Are you bored out of your mind? Did you perhaps hope to find something interesting or enlightening here instead of nonsense? Are you practicing your reading skills? Or maybe just looking for miss spellings or bad grammar to confront us with or make an example of to teach your children? Or, did you do a search for uninhabited planets in Yahoo and this is where you ended up?
In closing, I would just like to say, It's not my fault. It's not my fault that I have nothing better to do than rant on a friday night, feeling obligated to at least attempt to make the money I invested in this computer seem worth while to my wife. Explaining that people all around the globe await breathlessly for the next edition of "Hal's Rant-O-Matic©...", wondering if I have been committed and hauled away by the white suits yet. Actually, I have to use the keyboard at least once a day or the keys start sticking. I have to practice typing. I was making sure my spell checker worked. Had to use some of the extra HD space I have so I can tell my wife I am running out and need another one. A big one......
