Your favourite map(s) in 2010?
10 releases in 2010. Quake is dying! But worry not as Quaddicted is rising:
Almost 200k zip files were downloaded from the (SP) filebase (100k in 2008, 120k in 2009).
Close to 20k of those were from Quake Injector users.
Total of 1.8 terabytes served (counting everything).
200k “visitors”, that’s 50k more than last year.
As previously, take these numbers with a good grain of salt, logs and their analysis are not accurate at all. Also many factors play in. And to make everything worse I totally forgot to eliminate bots and spiders from those numbers.
Now for the annual poll!
The order is randomly shuffled list. There probably still is a bug that when you click on the links, marking the just visited map with a check mark. It works fine in the world’s greatest browser.

2011 is Quake’s 15 birthday so hopefully a lot of people will check out good ol’ Quake again.
Changes in user handling, re-registration necessary
I installed a forum and changed the user authentication of the review system to it. This means that – if you already had an account – you will have to register again. The statistics will stay the same, don’t worry. Just register here with the same username you previously used. Sorry about this.
Suggestions for forum categories are welcome, I want to keep it plain and simple though. Do not use the Wiki yet. More changes incoming.

I am currently working on the innards of the site. Adding some fancy new stuff.
During this time the site might not work as intended. You will probably not be able to log in. Do not register a new account.

Almost 500 more tags, everyone wins

I did expect more people and less tags, a raffle would have made sense then, but since it was the other way around I decided that each of the entrants should be awarded. There will be one winner randomly chosen who will receive the Humble Indie Bundle (the full one, issue #1 included). That’s 11 fine games that run on Windows, MacOS and Linux without any DRM.
To add tags you have to register, login, then go to a map’s page and fill them into the box on the right, just below the description.
