The map is only fastvised - it may run poorly on older machines.
This is actually quite nice.
A interesting way with doors to segment the map, and guide the progress. Here and there, quite interesting mapping details, unfortunately with some bland areas in between.
The real weakness in this map is the lighting. With a more moody and precise lighting, this map could really shine.
All in all: Good.
Easy peasy combat, easily breakable flow, confusing progression. Boxy rooms, too few details. Kinda nice for a first effort. Seeds are there for great things.
It may not look like much by the shot, nor does it feature the best visuals this side of 2000s; but I think it is more promising than most of the 'first attempts' in the archives. Spacious but guided, it is fun to explore around as the map gradually opens up to its full size.
I really enjoyed this! It's low on artistry for sure -- construction is blocky, lighting is bright and constant -- but high on craftsmanship, and in the end that might count for more. Lots of interesting exploration, lots of fun traps that didn't feel unfair, lots of satisfying secrets, and plenty of combat. I can't give the full five stars for something as unsophisticated as this, but it's worth for on gameplay alone.
Modest but charming, just what I needed today.
Fun map to explore and wonder how the layout twists and turns. Gameplay is good as well and the only downside is the couple technical issues like fastvis and one of the windows culling the world quite a bit. Shortcuts were also a thing I was constantly looking forward to where they appear.
