This map isn't so bad. Yes, it's cubbish, noone will doubt, but I can't say it is badly and inaccurately built, and gameplay seems to be much better than you can suspect just looking at the screenshot.
Although, there are no reasons to play it while you haven't played much better designed maps.
Decent gameplay and layout, rough brushwork and texturing.
The layout, combat, etc. are crude and repetitive, but they aren't fundamentally flawed. My impression is that the author had a distinct idea of what kind of map he wanted to make but didn't have enough skill to realize it.
The map's only glaring problem is its garish, incoherent textures, but IMO they're so weird that they actually make it fun to play.
I felt that this was a fun map to play through despite it being the author's first released map. Even though the texture designs provided by the level designer in his map are quite odd. I feel that they also provide the map with a very original and unique design. I especially like the butcher room implemented within the map. This map also provides the player with challenging combat situations and clever secrets that are hidden within the map. I would recommend playing this classic quake map and give it a three out of five rating.
