Fairly large wizard canal system with boats, sluices and a cool flood wave. Quite hard.Tags: large, wizard, canal, boat

The texture work is quite bad at some points, especially on the various "crates" in the map. Another negative point is the lighting - you end up fighting enemies in pitch black situations far more often than I'd prefer.
Aside from that, I quite enjoyed the map. The combat was nicely varied and gave plenty of challenge, and the neat trick with the flood was interesting to say the least.
I decided not to dock any points for this because I feel like it may have been my stupidity more than anything else, but it seems like the map may be impossible to complete without cheating? When you swim underwater and up to the SK area, you're expected to jump out of water that is far too low. Perhaps I was just missing something, but I had to noclip my way out of there to continue the level.
Again, an otherwise fun and creative map that's let down by some poor production quality that can be written off due to its age.
I played this level back in late 90's and I quite enjoyed it back then.
As mentioned before, the trick with the flood caught player's attention. In fact, this inspired the idea with explosion in my own level. I didn't have to cheat to get out of the water, so there's nothing wrong with this level.
Nice idea (for the level layout, the way you progress through), fair fights, "OK" design (I understand this was the first level for the author). In my own opinion, a true oldschool Quake fan shouldn't miss this release!
Pritchard, not stupidity in the slightest, but this map was probably tested under DOSQuake, in which the player is launched out of the water further.
I can't get out of the water, either. :( Glad to see I'm not the only one, at least. I'm using QuakeSpasm.
Extremely cheeky and obnoxious. Didn't finish, not paid to play this sort of thing. 4/10.
This is wonderful.
A chunk of Britain's industrial history - quite precise made - transferred to the Quakeverse. The gloomy and dark lighting fits the gaslight seting of the map. Very victorian, very moody.
Considering the age of this map, and the progress in mapping, a four. Back the, probably a five.
