The chess board was kind of cool. The rest of the map was pointless though.
A typical 90s deathmatch map with a few monsters slapped in to give the player something to kill in single player mode. Definitely not worth it for that purpose; there isn't even a level exit. The map is also kinda short on ammo, so I resorted to the axe at one point.
I'm not sure if the map's that great for deathmatch either, as it's so cramped that the frantic fast movement Quake deathmatch is known for isn't really possible. I'd probably avoid this map even for deathmatch.
I guess the one saving grace for this map is that at least the brushwork is decent enough.
