As far as monster selection goes in this one particular adaptation, I guess it's pretty appropriate. I was wondering if death knights would be a more appropriate substitution for the mancubi when it comes to weaponry, but ogres definitely look the part. xD
I guess my biggest gripe about the map would be the balance. For one, the player can just jump to the middle pedestal to exit right at the beginning, but besides that I think the Quad damage (that replaces the berserk powerup) makes things too easy. A megahealth could've perhaps been a more suitable option, while still somewhat fitting the original powerup.
Or maybe Dead Simple just doesn't quite adapt to Quake that well... dead simple.
