Better than its first impression. The progression was kinda fun. You have to search for the keys etc.

Somewhat original, but very ugly. At least, it's playable. Too bad when such levels are "made to show off the capabilities" of some potentially useful tool...

Surprisingly fun for what was expected. Best part was the layout and combats. Be careful, as there is one time where if you go the wrong route you are probably dead.

Tall PolyEd Level on The Quake Grave

I figured I'd give this one a shot because the name was a bit strange. For a level made in a dos program, it is pretty good but otherwise it's just okay. It has an exit and can be finished so it's competent but the level is average at best.

There are areas that are super dark where you can't see a thing, large blocks using the same texture make the map a bit ugly in places and the beginning part is really strange, it kind of throws off the pace of the rest of the level as starts with a boom and then sort of fizzles out.

ArrrCee says it all...

Parts of Polyed are surprisingly good. I liked the wizard tower (shown in the screecap), and the non-linear layout is impressive for a '96 map. But it also has big flaws--the combat is unbalanced, and I agree with Arrcee's comment about the bad lighting and samey textures.

Average quake map from 1997 that used to to display the map creation possibilities with a dos level designing program. Not really a great map as stated because of unbalanced game play, excessive darkness, and odd texturing and brushwork. It is a functional and playable map with an exit so as it stands this map gets a two out of five rating from me but i would say pass on playing this map as there other quake maps to play that are worth your time.
