Decent, but would improve a lot by reducng the scale to half on the biggest areas and spread a bit better the ammo.
This map came up on a coop server that has more than two thousand maps in circulation just the other day, and what a ride it was.
The design is confusing, lighting obfuscates the path forward rather than aiding the player to finding it, most of the level is dead space with nothing going on other than enemies slapped around haphazardly, and the brushwork is more basic than baby's first Counter-Strike map.
Absolute dogshit and it even gave me AND my buddy a headache thanks to the extreme and constant contrast between lit and pitch black areas. It might be an ancient map but god damn is it a terrible one too. phlamethrower if you're reading this I just want you to know that I wish you didn't stop with 2 in your level design adventure. J1 and J2 are horrible, but maybe J100 would actually be really good. Too late to find out how it'd look now I guess.
This is not a great map, but neither is it as terrible as the previous comment suggests. I actually enjoyed its emphasis on horde combat, and I didn't find the layout confusing (it's somewhat nonlinear and presumably designed to accommodate both SP and DM). The map's big drawback is that it's very plain, and the rooms are mostly quite large by Quake standards, which accentuates the plainness.
