Like Mr. Roussel's other creations, this is a tiny mixtex map that's overflowing with ideas but doesn't put them together coherently. Recommended for anyone who likes weird '90s maps.
As a whole, the map sure is a smörgåsbord of pretty wildly varying themes (I guess metal would be the most prevalent overall), but if you look at the rooms individually, the texture mixes look pretty good in my book. It was interesting to see, what kind of a room Roussel had baked in next for me to appreciate.
Gameplay-wise the map was pretty balanced overall and was fun to blast through; maybe a bit too easy, though. But if you're up for a quick bite of casual Quake, you might want to give this a go. Overall, I guess I'd rate this map 2,5-2,75.
This is the last map from Marc and arguably his best one. It demonstrates the creativity that he used in "The Wrong Way;" however, it has a more consistent theme (metal, with some wizard accents), has better balanced gameplay, and the progression isn't as enigmatic.
Considering it was made 9 months after the release of Quake, it's a pretty neat old level! A fun short map.
