Don't get fooled by the realism tag. This is still pretty much your old-school, moderately detailed, explorative Quake level that takes around an hour to complete. Mixed texturing with all kinds of enemies thrown it, yet still works thanks to its clever, overlapping design and fine-tuned combat setups.
I might upgrade my rating to 3 when I finally get unstuck. All in all this is a nice first attempt, if only a bit crude. I find the progression confusing however, and have spent too much time trying to guess what to do or where to go next. I've just encountered a button that "Seems offline" and have no idea what to do next, or whether getting to the room that contains it had any bearing on anything (hence the map title?).
@Gloyo3aa Another switch in the same room sets a container into place, that closes a gap and enables you to complete a jump on some pipes, that lead to the next room. Quasiotter did a commented playthrough for this map, and recommended some ammo or health be placed on them for directions :

Anyways thx for the feedback, I'll pay more attention to directions in the future.
Ooooh right, thanks! I had retrieved the grenade launcher but didn't realise this was the way to go.
I'm awarding this one more star because it's still a fun map. I gave up on the Captain however, too hard. I might replay this later in a more reasonable setting (Nightmare is my default).

Mo video there....
I don't often give up on a map, but I have on this one. I''ve just spent too much time swimming around under and around the big ship, and in the flooded chamber beside the dock, looking for what to do next. Nowhere to go, nothing to do — goodbye!
In the end, I watched Quasiotter's video, and realised that the way to continue was to go back to the beginning after the uninformative "something opened" message. I'm glad I did. Although this is literally the worst signposted map I have ever played, it was worth persisting with for some fascinating a excellently judged tactical combats. But I had to cheat later in the game —
fly
up on top of the pipes after I couldn't get anything to happen in the "Seems offline" area. And then at the very end (I assume), after I'd got the gold key, I couldn't get the bottom of the boat to open, so I never did finish it.I've awarded three stars anyway, because of those tactical combats — especially the brutally difficult one in the flooded area. But it could have been so much better with some playtesting.
@MikeTaylor Thx for the feedback ! I could only get one person to playtest this map before release, that clearly was not sufficient. Most of the feedback I got post release is right on par with yours : not enough directions. I'll try to do better for the next one(and include a playdemo as a precaution).
Sounds good, @zbidou72! I'll look forward to the next map, and hope you can keep everything that was good about this one as you improve in other ways!
Armitage, Markdown botched the link. Here is the correct link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w_Afyq_Jrpo
zbidou72, I found a bug in your map. In the room with the "seems offline" button, the thing you call a container didn't move through the door when I pressed the other button that opened said door. This made it impossible for me to use the container to jump on the pipes.
