"Small and pointless whatever"? While this description is funny, it is not very accurate. I would rather call it a "spacious but plain and blocky dungeon". And this is another map that does not deserve a "crap" rating, in my opinion.
For a 1997 beginner map, it is really not too bad. There do not seem to be any technical problems and the map features some inventive moments with moving structures and fairly clever and rewarding secrets.
Its main (interrelated) downfalls are aesthetics and scale: it's a perfectly functional map, but it looks very bland, and it seems a little too spacious for the sparse detail and limited monster population.
agreed. in fact, the description is what got my attention.
