Ire and Abbeys on The Quake Grave
I played through this map with 3 of QMaster's other maps in the video above.
I love the look of the castle in this one. It's a little bland on detail as it only uses one texture for all the walls, but it's still got a certain charm to it. The room at the very beginning is insane and starts the map off at a pace that is off the scale and unreachable by the rest of the map. For such a small map, there are a lot of frantic fights and enemy spawns and it's good fun but definitely had the feel of an older era map. My favorite area was the graveyard, that I thought that part was fun!
This is actually really nice so far as it goes. The only problem is, it doesn't go very far. But the ruined abbey is beautiful. The gameplay could have done with more thought, though, and the final exit should surely have been through the unopenable door inside the church.
