Large 2D-ish map with an ugly hodgepodge of texture themes and architectural ideas. And a Baywatch poster...Tags: random, maze, weird, textures, mixtex, medium, outdoor, village

no coherent theme on this map and way to maze like in design. I would not recommend downloading this map and would give a one out of five rating.
Seems like a typical beginner's map with its blocky dark rooms with mixed textures. I'd say it's a half decent attempt at a first map though. It is quite lengthy, so it's not over extremely quickly like many first maps tend to be.
The map has distinct phases: At one point you're in a slime maze, then you're in a small village and then surrounding some underground castle. Not sure the transitions feel very smooth, but at least the different locations provide variation.
In terms of combat, the map's a bit too generous with armor, so it's not very difficult. But if you're up for some casual 90s Quake beginner maps, you could go a lot worse than this map.
