The last of Tony Boyer's maps (and the only one for which he used the "Frogger" alias) is also the best. It's still nothing special, but an enjoyable hack through a base populated by the standard enemies and a sprinkling of ogres and suchlike.
Unfortunately, Quakespasm 0.90 seems unable to make a proper saved game for this map. For some reason, instead of trying to read
maps/sp.bsp
when loading as saved game, it tries to readmaps/by_*Frogkills:_61/_62____.bsp
. No idea why.A fun base map. Progression is totally straightforward, but the combat is challenging without ever being unfair. The architecture and texturing are pretty good.
