Filefont shutting down

Filefront is shutting down. Moddb is calling out for everyone to upload mods so they aren't lost. Received this info via moddbs page on Facebook.

Nice job on moddb using this to advertise themselves and have people upload content. Archiveteam took care of Gamefront months ago. https://archive.org/details/archiveteam_gamefront

Unfortunately the person running it was more concerned with getting it all into the Wayback Machine than available as easy to download archives so it is all WARCs...

Now, will moddb actively support us doing the same with their content? THAT would be a nice gesture.

If they're legitimately concerned about the content I don't see why they would care. Also I wasn't aware it was already backed up sorry :/

Sarcasm notwithstanding most folk are not going to wade through unsorted archive chunks. Will the files wind up on wayback along with the pages?

I wasn't aware of either project. It will be interesting to see what is exhumed.
