Network Unreachable

Smallish industrial/base map using socktech textures. It comes with two new sound effects. The map source is included.

Note: This map requires Arcane Dimensions 1.71 and a source port with increased limits + BSP2 support

Really enjoyed this substantial base challenge — it is by no means small as the tag above suggests, and provides both a steady stream of encounters and two or three really big set-piece combats that were really tough to get through. Top notch example of how Arcane Dimensions makes bases so much more fun.

This, is an excellent map. The ambiance, is spot on. The stream of action, is there. The coherence in choice of assets, is most proper. The difficulty level, is superb. The spatial design, makes good use of environmental nodes, without feeling repetitive. Even the narration, is given - and it is great, if to get over the case that it is absolutely humorous, which arguably goes together so much with the grim 'Quake' colour tones and rather serious looking course of action. It is a fine example of "base" standard map, built upon the "Arcane Dimensions" backbone. The "Arcane Dimensions" technological background, elevated an entire experience to another level of excellence.
