Bloodstone on The Quake Grave
This first version of Bloodstone is a decent map. It's competent and can be finished but it really has that "1996 feel" to it.
I liked the knight room. Though really dark at first, once you hit the switch and the lights pop on and the pillars move --I thought that room was pretty cool. I will say the pay off at the end with using the pent and quad together is fun too.
The door that you have to shoot to open to get back is a bit odd... what if you run out of ammo? Trapped fiends under water? The beginning area with the shambler below you? Misaligned textures and brushes. I'm not entirely sure what the author was going for with this map. It's interesting, but a little unbalanced I think.
The 1997 version of the map is also played in this video.
