Lost Island: The Island of the death
An Egyptian temple on an unknown island. Start map, medium temple map and small boss level, many cramped caverns and a dragon battle at the end. OKish.Tags: medium, egyptian, temple, start, boss, dragon

Pretty cool. I think the Egyptian textures are hot.
some cramped areas, and some frustrating jumping puzzles, but pretty nice overall.
Cool mapset with quite detailed brushes & terrain for the time (although it certainly could've used more clip brushes). The combat and level design are fun, and it includes a custom boss fight and a little dragon ally to help you.
Nice ideas, but clumsy in their execution, and some areas were indeed extremely cramped, to the point where even enemies had trouble moving around packed as they were in some small spaces. I also found the progression confusing at times, and got tired of looking for buttons to open a door --- and certainly of the tedious way to get back to the surface when falling off the bridge in the first map, which eventually led me to noclip.
For some reason those maps remind me of Leafface's maps. Maybe because of the good intentions that are palpable despite the imperfections, but I still prefer Leafface's maps.
