the lighting is quite dull, but gameplay is ok.
Such a nice map with such bad lighting. Loved the stealth intruder vibe.
Yes, a really nice map in most respects -- visually dull, but I can forgive that. I am a sucker for Stealth Intruder (after all, Telefragged is my all-time favourite map) and this is a good example of the genre.
Very much what Mike said, also the lighting fits to the map somehow in a weird way. i'd love to see an enhanced version still, forged for todays needs.
Played on skill 2. All killed and secrets found.
Brushwork detail and architecture is well above iD maps, layout is non-linear with some small choices and side areas, combats are straightforward and a bit varied, ammo and health is well spread and a bit lower than iD maps in quantity, lighting, more than dark, is bland, with no much contrast, and the secret was well placed while being easy to find.
It is a good, makes you want go for more as it is so small. The exploration is short but rewarding and the brushwork good and appealing, combats are not much interesting save a few, but as it is short it doesn't get boring. Feels more than a good Quake 2 map than a Quake one.
