Runic Mechanism
Medium sized metal-runic themed underground tomb / lava factory for Copper v1.20+ (NOT included). Textures by Makkon / from Underdark Overbright. Map source is included."I wanted to use Makkon's textures as well as making a much shorter map than my previous map, Sunken Library. The original plan was to have a platform raising throughout the map, the remnants of this idea are still present, such that the three rooms this would've involved are still lined up perfectly. The idea was scrapped as it added nothing to the actual gameplay and wouldn't be that noticeable. [...] On feedback from my previous map, I have tried to make the lighting more atmospheric but this may be too dark in some places. I recommend "contrast 1" + "gamma 1" in console beforehand. It's a very linear map and so not much exploration is possible, unfortunately."
Note: may require a modern engine / source port with increased limits.

I have really enjoyed this map!
The architecture and lighting are a clear improvement over the last map - and it is not too dark! The mapper has managed to set the atmosphere of this map very nicely! :)
All in all, this is mapping of a high standard. I wonder what will come next; it is very nice to se a mapper grow with the task and press the envelope further out....
Thanks for your efforts; thanks for sharing! Bravo!
This was lots of fun and a constant challenge. It's going right on my replay list!
