I have to respectfully disagree with Spirit on this one: I thought the transition was rather well done, lending a sense of story to this map. The logic behind a military warehouse accessed via a church is debatable but hey, Quake has never been about realism anyway. I'd even say that the game's surrealism is an integral part of its charm. It is a bit unfortunate that the warehouse and the actual "base" aren't physically connected (maybe this is why Spirit talked about "maps slapped together") but it didn't really bother me. Speaking of "base", it's more like an arena, really. An arena with very few monsters to fight. Could have used more.
I enjoyed this, hands down Juha's best map that I've played so far. Now on to the last one...
